CARP October 2 Day Workshop
Reported by Ryota Naito
CARP Las Vegas held their second Two Day Divine Principle Workshop for Fall Semester 2017! It felt like a new age with eight guests, four from College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and four from University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). This was the record number of guests from CSN. CARP was accompanied with the gracious support of the GPA Cheon Il Guk Missionaries. Michael Cordero, who heard the Principle for the first time in Vegas nearly two years ago, was part of the missionaries. Not only was he a missionary there, but he took on the role as the master of ceremony for the workshop, sharing his unique and comforting energy. Him and another brother, Marcus Fuller who also joined nearly an year ago, shared their gratitude towards their journey in discovering the Divine Principle.
Through it all, the participants were enlightened from Rev. Akira Ota who centered his lectures on the theme, "Peace Starts With Me." He encouraged each person in the workshop to stand as owners of their life, and the world they live in. During the final moments together, participants shared their workshop experiences with a bonfire. Many participants actually shared their own story that they seldom ever told anyone. It was because of the loving atmosphere, that they felt free to share amongst each other. With each and every person's investment towards the workshop, everyone felt renewed and determined to continue living by the theme, "Peace Starts With Me."
