오늘은 부처님이 어린 시절을 보냈던 카필라성으로 간다.
마침 순례길 방향과 일치하는 서쪽이다. 하루거리.
Today we went to Kapila castle where Buddha spent his early days.
The relic was located to the west of Lumbini which was same direction with pilgrimage course.
It would take one day to walk.
이른 아침 세사람이 룸비니 대성석가사를 출발.
Three pilgrims started at Daesungseokgasa early in the morning.
포장공사중인 먼지길이다.
그속을 걸어가는 무심거사 이상훈교수.
The road was very dusty because construction work was going on.
Professor Lee, whose Buddhist name is muusim, is walking in the thick dust.

Professor Lee was talking with villagers. He explained Silk Road pilgrimage in good English.
한편 필자도 더운 날씨에 반소매의 '젊은' 모습으로 청년들에게 이야기하고 있다.
And I weared T-shirt in warm weather and talked with young people.
I thought I looked young when I saw this picture.
가족과 함께 있는 아이에게 필자가 함께 걸자는 제스추어를 한다.
I waved to a child standing among the family, and gestured "Let's go together!"
반갑게 손을 흔드는 아이들.
Children waved to me gladly.
마침 등교하는 아이들과 친해졌다.
네팔은 토요일은 쉬지만 일요일 오전은 학교에 잠깐 간다고 한다.
아이들과 걸어가는 동안 친해져서 깃발을 들고 함께 가보자고 하였다.
In Nepal, Saturday is holiday. Students go to school on Sunday.
I became friendly with children going to school.
I asked the children "Would you please take the flag and walk together with us?"
이교수와 하라상이 중간에 끼여서 함께 걸었다. 이날의 백미다.
Professor Lee and Mr. Hara joined the procession of Nepalese students.
This picture was the highlight of today's pilgrimage.
한참을 걷는데 한글이 섞인 간판이 보인다.
한국 남원에 있는 선원사 절집에서 이 학교를 짓는데 기여한 것이다.
After a while, I saw a billboard written in Korean language.
Seonwonsa temple in Namwon, Korea, contributed to the construction of this school.
마침 일요일 학교 청소하는 날에 아이들이 마당에 있다.
선생님께 인사하고 순례길에 대해 설명했다.
선생님이 네팔어로 설명하자 학생들은 진지하게 들었다.
Students were cleaning the shool since it was Sunday.
I greeted Nepalese teacher and explained about the pilgrimage.
The teacher explained pilgrimage to the students in Nepalese.
The students listened to the teacher earnesty.
학교 교실에는 태극기도 꽂혀있다.
I could find Korean national flag in the classroom.
순례단에서 학교측에 100달러를 기증했다.
The pilgrims donated 100$ to the school.
뜻깊은 기념사진이다.
This is a commerable picture.
완전한 봄날이다.
Sping has come surely.
멀리 뛰어놀던 아이들에게 깃발을 흔들자 하던 놀이를 중단하고 다가왔다. 장면이 아주 좋다.
When I waved the flag to the children playing in the ground far away,
they stopped playing and approached to me.
It was a nice moment.
이 지역의 공립학교인데, 한글로도 간판이 쓰여있다.
The billboard indicated there was a public school.
The name of the school was written in Korean language.
옛 카필라왕국이 있던 동네에 도착했다.
We arrived at the village where Kapila kingdom was located in the remote past.
옛시가지를 가로지르는 일행. 부처님의 카필라성은 여기에서 5km쯤 떨어져 있다.
We passed through old town area. The Kapila castle was 5 km away.

I saw the relics of Kapila castle where Buddha spent his early years.
여러 나라의 불자들이 참배하고 있다.
Buddhists from several countries came and paid respect to the relics.
돌아올 적에는 미얀마 스님들이 단체로 온 버스를 얻어 탔다.
하라상은 일일이 리플렛을 돌리며 홍보를 하고 있다.
On the way back, we received free ride to a bus which was carrying monks from Myanmar.
Mr. Hara handed out leaflets one by one and publicized the pilgrimage.
리플렛을 본 스님들이 따뜻하게 맞아 주신다.
After reading the leaflet, the monks greeted us with warmth.
