1. 오늘은 장거리 일정이다. 출발한지 금새 만난 철교.
I have to walk long distance, today. I encountered steel railway soon.

3. 동네를 지나노라니 이 분이 자신의 차를 세우고 내려서 자신이 인도군인 출신이라고 소개하면서 반가워한다.
그리고는 자신의 집으로 가서 차를 대접하고 싶다고 한다. 감사하지만 갈 길이 멀어서 사양했다.
사양하고 난 후 걷다가 보니 금새 후회가 된다. 인도의 가정을 살펴볼 좋은 기회였는데..
While I was passing a village, this gentleman stopped his car and introduced himself as a retired Indian soldier.
He said, "I want to bring you to my house for a cup of chai." I said, "Thank you for your suggestion. But I have a long way to go." And after a while I regretted my refusal. It was a good chance to look into Indian family life.
4. 등교하는 학생들
Students are going to school in the morning.
5. 고등학생을 마주쳤다.
I encountered a high-school student.
6. 친구들도 함께.
And her friends.
7. 작은 도시이지만 잘 정돈된 시가지다.
The village was small, but well maintained.
8. 바깥으로 가면서 만난 큰 강이자 인더스강의 지류다.
At outskirts of the village, I met a large river which was a tributary of Indus River.
9. 여기서도 물을 빼서 따로 관개수로를 만들었다.
From this river, people diverted water and made waterway for irrigation too.
10. 큰 강위에서 새들이 떼지어 있다.
On the large river, many birds flocked together.

13. 그 새들이 다리를 넘어간다.
The birds seen in the picture above fly over the bridge.
14. 나그네를 보고 멈추어 반가워 하는 오토바이. 아이들 셋을 태우고 있는데 큰 아이가 갓난아이를 감싸고 있다.
The driver saw me and stopped his motorcycle gladly to see a traveler.
He was carrying three children. The elder one is protecting the younger boy.
15. 원숭이들이 보인다.
I saw monkeys.
16. 필자는 배낭을 열고 비스켓을 꺼냈다.
I opened my backpack, and pulled out some biscuits.
17. 골고루 나누어 주는 것도 일이다. 잘못주면 두목 한 놈이 독차지 한다.
It is not easy to distribute cookies fairly. If I fail in fair distribution, one boss takes all the cookies.

This building was built nice and properly.
20. 필자를 보고 반가워 하는 시크교도.
A Sikh was very glad to see me.
21. 펀잡지방에 오니 이런 산들을 구경할 수 있다.
I could see a mountain like this when I walk in Punjab region.
22. 누군가가 군인들에게 필자의 팜플렛을 미리 전달해주었다. 이 경비대에 도착하니 그걸 보고있다. 필자를 보자마자 친절하게도 차를 대접한다.
Somebody gave the soldiers a pamphlet of New Silk Road in advance.
When I arrived at this guard office, the soldier offered me chai kindly.
23. 사진 찍을 때 오신 바로 가운데 분이 지난주에 만났던 그 경찰분이다. 이 분이 이 곳에 와서 필자의 이야기를 일부러 전해주신 것이다. 필자에게 베푸는 보이지 않는 배려를 느낀다. 나마스테!
A man approached me. The man in the center of this picture was the policeman whom I met last week.
He came to this place and told the guards about my pilgrimage.
I appreciate his hidden consideration for me. Namaste!

25. 필자의 짐을 옮겨준 택시기사가 돌아가는 길에 필자를 발견하고는 차에서 내렸다.
The taxi driver who carried my baggage saw me on his way back. He got out of the car and took a picture with me.

A young boy is riding a motorcycle, holding father's back.
31. 독일과 캐나다로 진출을 많이 하는가 보다.
I think many people in this region go out to Germany or Canada for work.
32. 생과일주스를 한잔 하면서~ 모자가 삐딱한 것은 햇빛때문이다.
Happy hour with a cup of raw fruit juice. Sunshine made my hat slanting.

35. 이런 농촌길을 오랫동안 걸었다.
오늘은 좋은 생각이 많이 났다. 그동안 밀려둔 숙제들은 해치운 느낌이다~
I walked along this country road for a long time. While I walk, I came up with many good ideas.
I felt like finishing long postponed homeworks.

At the final section, I walked country road like this for a long while.
