파생된 명사를 살펴볼까요? inaccuracy, particularity, convenience는
형용사 inaccurate, particular, convenient에서 파생된 명사로서 원 의미는
부정확성, 특이성, 편의성이지만 여기서는 복수로 쓰여 inaccurate한 것들, particular한 것들, convenient한 것들을 표현하게 됩니다.
(1)에서 inaccuracies는
“부정확한 점들”. inaccurate points라고 안하고 명사로 간결하게 처리하는
것이죠. (2)에서 particularities는 특이점들, 차 전문가에 대한 말인데요, 좋은
차주전자를 만들기 위해 찰흙을 직접 만드는데 이것이 상당히 특이하다네요. (3)은 영국 빅토리아시대에
매료된 어느 미술가 부부가 그시대 사람처럼 현대의 편의시설들 없이 살았답니다.
