Dear Amnesty International Again
To Ms. Norma Kang Muico or to whom Korea's candlelit business may concern
Congratulations!
As soon as you left Korea with the foregone conclusion in your farewell interview, our beloved far left-sided newspapers did not fail to put 'the fact that the South Korean police used excessive force against peaceful protesters' on the top front on their web pages.
You have to admit that we did play our roles well, though. When you arrived undisguised, people criticized you that the investigation could not be carried fair and square. Thanks to your investigation with your face publicized nation-wide, we could orchestrate our strategy of between peaceful and violent modes. Under your surveillance, we sang and laughed and sometimes danced; behind your back, we could easily ignite the violence of the police by sending a well-armed and masked militia group or two. They were well organized and so efficient in wielding force that the young policemen were usually afraid of confronting our warriors. But we managed to chase and beat up some slowpokes and could eventually inflame the violent scene in which some innocent citizens were inevitably caught. So, now you have to praise our effort to let you jump to a conclusion that the South Korean police used excessive force against peaceful protesters.
What a cooperation!
No, rather what a conspiracy!
Let me tell you more amusing things:
Leftist National Teachers' Union has a good excuse to teach students to refuse to serve their country, and to brainwash them into believing that the North Kim Jung-il's regime is more legitimate than their own's.
Minority sects of clergies now have the moral high ground to demand the 5-month-old legitimate government to step down.
You may not understand, but the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions uses your preliminary result as an excuse for a strike.
As you well know, this 'peaceful' candlelit vigil which now shakes the root of the whole nation started with a TV program. The TV program titled 'PD(TV producer)'s Notebook' cunningly made a masterpiece that misinterpreted, distorted and successfully concluded that the American cows were of highly risk of mad cow disease and Koreans were more vulnerable to vCJD, so if you are to eat U.S. beef, you would surely die of the disease. With terrorizing background music! With the caption saying "Will you eat U.S. beef risking your life" on the backboard behind the anchor during the whole program!
Of course, a few days later highly vulnerable teens took to the street. The young gave us, would-be People's Union, which would consist of 1700 or more strong organizations, the chance to take the initiative. Well, you know. We are professional demonstrators and have long trained ourselves in many battles against the police. Don't worry about our finance, which was solved when the last regime made a law to give us plentiful sum.
And you know the following story.
I have more exhilarating news for you.
Your South Korean section started to do the same thing as the PD's Notebook.
When you say: .....as riot police sought to control surging crowds...
They say: ......as riot police charged at surging crowds...
When you say: Police engaged in arbitrary arrests of protesters and onlookers.
They slip in even: Police engaged in arbitrary arrests of protesters and even onlookers.
When you report: South Korea: use of force against beef protesters should be investigated thoroughly.
They put 'excessive' in: South Korea: use of excessive force against beef protesters should be investigated thoroughly.
That is the sign of another scheme I fully understand. We have done unceasing battles against the government and will continue until this rightist regime collapses.
Last night, only five hundred of us were able to paralyze the main streets of Seoul for about nine hours! From 7:20 p.m to 4:30 a.m. with only 500 'peaceful' citizens!!
Let me tell you another anecdote. An old man in his sixties shouted at us to get away for the bus to get through. We 'peaceful' citizens never used any physical force but calling him names and threateningly approaching him. The police wouldn't dare to do anything but stare away.
As you see, we never used the force.
One more thing! As you may well know, a reporter from one of major newspapers had been beaten up by who-knows. Last night, we happened to come across an intern reporter from another major newspaper. One hundred members of us surrounded him but I don't remember the rest. Anyway, I was told that he ended up being punched and kicked and sworn at with his camera's memory card extorted.
Who knows who did?
Anyway, after your preliminary report, we start to feel more free to do whatsoever. Last night, we used firecrackers instead of candles for a change. We are some kind of bored with one item. If you have any good idea, tell us. We will do you any favor to make the scene for you to enjoy from Pacific Ocean away.
Thank you again for pepping up the burnt down candlelight. If we lose the momentum, we will call for help. Then surely you will come to our rescue.
Now we can call you 'Comrade'.
Have a nice day, Comrade!!!
Sincerely yours,
