토끼, 달 이야기(영어동화)

Rabbit has grown up.

토기가 다 자랐어요.

"There are too many rabbits in this hole!!," "It is time to leave the nest. I am going to find my own home," the oldest rabbit says.

"이 구멍에는 너무 많은 토끼들이 있구나!!," "이젠 둥지를 떠날 시간이구나. 난 나만의 집을 찾아야 해," 맏이 토끼가 말해요.

Rabbit decides to look in a different hole.

토끼가 다른 구멍을 찾기로 결심해요.

"You cannot live here. This is my home!" shouts Mouse.

"넌 이곳에서 살수가 없단다. 이것은 나의 집이야!" 쥐가 소리쳐요.

So, Rabbit hops into the forest. He looks into another hole.

그래서, 토끼는 숲속으로 뛰어 갔어요. 그는 다른 구멍 안을 쳐다 보아요.

"You cannot live here. This is my home!" shouts Squirrel.

"넌 이곳에서 살수가 없단다. 이것은 나의 집이야!" 다람쥐가 소리쳐요.

Rabbit looks for a new home, one he can call his own.

토끼가 그 자신의 것이라 할 수 있는 새로운 집을 찾아요.

"You cannot live here. This is my home!"shouts Ground Hog.

"넌 이곳에서 살 수가 없단다. 이건 나의 집이야!"두더지가 소리쳐요.

Rabbit is sad. He cannot find a home.

토끼는 슬퍼요. 그는 집을 찾을수가 없어요.

Rabbit does not see Eagle flying in the sky. At that time, White Rabbit sees Eagle. "Quickly, come inside!" she shouts.

토끼는 하늘에 날아가는 독수리를 볼 수 없어요 . 그때, 하얀 토끼가 독수리를 봐요. "서둘러서 이리로 와!"그녀가 소리쳐요.

"Thank you so much. You have saved my life!" Rabbit says.

"너에게 무척 고맙구나. 넌 내 생명을 구한거야!" 토끼가 말해요.

"You're welcome," White Rabbit answers.

"천만에," 하얀 토끼가 대답해요.

"What a roomy hole you have! I wish I had a hole like this!" he says. Rabbit is surprised by how big the hole is.

"넌 공간이 많은 구멍을 가지고 있구나! 나도 이것과 같은 구멍을 가졌으면 좋겠다!" 그가 말해요. 토끼가 이 구멍이 어찌나 큰지 놀라요.

"I am all alone in this big hole. Why don't you stay here with me? White Rabbit asks.

"난 혼자 이 큰 구멍에 있어. 나와 함께 여기서 지내면 어떻겠니?" 하얀 토끼가 물었어요.

"Thank you. I will stay here. Now I have found a home!" says Rabbit.

"고마와. 난 여기서 지낼꺼야. 난 지금 집을 찾았어!" 토끼가 말해요.

There lived Moon. Moon was envious of Sun because Sun was warm and bright.

달이 살고 있었어요. 달은 해를 부러워 했어요. 왜냐하면, 해는 따뜻하고 빛났기 때문이였어요.

Moon always looked at Sun and thought of how he could become bright as Sun.

달은 언제나 해를 보며 어떻게 하면 그도 해처럼 빛날 수 있을 지를 생각했어요.

Moon then realized why Sun was so bright. The secret was Sun had shining particle.

달은 그리곤 왜 해가 그렇게 빛나는지 알게 되았어요. 해가 반짝이는 조각을 가지고 있었다는 그 비밀이 있기 때문이였어요.

Moon worried. Because, there was no way he could take the shining particle from Sun. So, He went to Sun.

달은 걱정했어요. 왜냐하면, 해에게서 반짝이는 조각을 가지고 올 방법 밖에 없었기 때문이였어요. 그래서 그느 해에게 갔어요.

"Sun! Please, give me some of those shining particle," Moon said.

"햇님! 제발 저에게 반짝이는 조각을 좀 주세요." 달이 말했어요.

Sun answered. "No! It only shines when I have it." Moon got a temper and thought. "When Sun goes to sleep. I'll steal it from him."

해는 대답했어요. "안돼! 그것은 내가 가지고 있을 때 빛나는 거야." 달은 진정을 하고 생각했어요. "해가 잠들때, 내가 그것을 그에게서 훔쳐야 겠다."

One day, Sun fell asleep, he stole a little of it. Sun realized the particle had been stolen after he woke up. And, he also knew that Moon did it.
