On the 15th of February 2011 Marin Medak and Simon Osborne will set off to try to become the first people to kayak the coast of South Korea. 650Nm (1200Km)
This fascinating country has a diverse coastline with sandy beaches, remote islands and dramatic cliffs. The team will be going in winter and so will expect the average temperature to be below zero. In the winter the wind comes from Siberia in the north and makes the country bitterly cold.

Jogo,
Thank you. We are staying at a hotel near the airport incheon on the 16 17 February. We hope to set off from there on the 18th morning. It would be good to meet someone on the 17th in Seoul or at least talk to someone who paddles in Korea. We don't know how the officials , police, coast guard, will think of us. The kayaking should be ok its just the politics we need support with.Â
Thanks Simon
