第二 戊子譜 序言
大邱金氏의 시조 參議公 達 始祖님은 新羅 敬順王의 後孫이십니다. 또한 高麗朝 때 日本을 征伐하신 金方慶 장군의 후손으로, 장군의 四子 金惀공의 曾孫이십니다. 參議公 達 始祖께서는 朝鮮朝 太宗 李芳遠 二年 太祖 李成桂로 復位하자는 "趙思義의 亂"에 連累되시어 그 이듬해 정월 지금의 咸鏡道인 東北面 吉州에 流配되시니, 長子 麗淵公은 父親을 따라 本鄕 大邱 道化村을 떠나 東北面으로 터전을 옮겨 吉州에 거하시게 되고, 이로써 本鄕 大邱를 貫鄕으로 하는 大邱金氏의 효시이시며, 또한 대구김씨 함경도 길주파의 시작입니다. 그로부터 九十餘 年 뒤, 達 始祖님 본향, 大邱 道化村에서 達 始祖님의 次子 富亨公께서 낳으신 達시조의 두 孫子, 浩然 浩堅, 兄弟公은 燕山君 乙酉 一四九五年 紅塵亂世를 避하여 兄, 浩然공은 咸鏡道로 入北하시어 그 後孫들을 咸鏡道 西浦派 라 부르고, 季氏 되시는 浩堅公은 平安道로 遷西하시어 後日 七宗中로 나뉘는 平安道 龍灣派의 始祖되시니 이렇게 세분 祖孫께서 세 派를 이루시어 各派는 破別로 族譜를 지켜오셨습니다.
大邱金氏는 1843년 癸卯譜, 1888년 戊子譜, 1923년 癸亥譜, 1932년 壬申譜, 1958년 戊戌譜, 1978년 戊午譜,이렇게 族譜를 刊行하였는데, 이 중 癸亥譜는 吉州派, 西浦派만의 別譜였습니다. 이번 2008년 建國60 주년이라는 뜻 깊은 해에 戊子譜를 내게 되니 1888년 戊子譜 이후 두 甲子해로 같은 戊子譜가 두 번째로 태어나게 되었습니다. 軍亂과 患亂의 近代史 속에서 일곱 번의 族譜 刊行은 우리 門中이 얼마나 氏族 사랑이 컸었나, 잘 설명해줍니다.
入北 入灣 以來 南漢地方에는 宗親은 勿論 族譜 한권도 있을 리 없는 형편인데, 지극히 다행으로 越南하신 宗親 가운데, 志靑어른께서 壬申譜를 머리 위에 새끼줄로 묶으시고 대동강을 헤엄쳐 건너시는 功으로 南韓에 族譜를 전하시어 大同江 물에 젖은 族譜를 根據로 이후 3번이나 族譜를 刊行하게 되었으니 志靑어른의 크나크신 氏族 사랑에 늘 尊敬의 마음으로 "족보 할아버지"로 모시던 記憶이 아직도 새롭습니다.
그러나 이러한 氏族사랑이 컸음에도 불구하고 지난 一九七八年 戊午譜까지 各派 사이의 守譜 形式은 舊態依然했습니다. 始祖는 達 始祖 한분이신데 西浦派는 達 始祖 九世 孫이신 大聲 할아버지를 中始祖로 모셔 一世로 하였고, 龍灣派도 達 始祖 三世孫이신 浩堅 할아버지를 中始祖로 모셔 亦是 一世로 모시니, 三 氏族이 한집에 있는 듯, 相互 祖孫을 가리기 어려웠습니다.
中始祖를 모실 지라도 中始祖를 一世라 呼稱해 드리면 達 始祖께 대한 孝가 아닐 것입니다. 따라서 각派의 中始祖는 族譜에 銘記 하되 龍灣派 浩堅 中始祖를 一世에서 三世로 西浦派 大聲 中始祖를 一世에서 九世로 하여 子孫들을 一世이신 達 始祖님 앞에 바로 서도록 하는 大同統合을 今番 第二 戊子譜에서 斷行한 점을 意味深長하게 評價 해주시기 바랍니다.
大邱金氏는 權門勢家는 아닐지라도, 그 대신 國難時에는 戰場에 나가 피를 흘리고, 誠心으로 租稅를 바치고, 鄕里에서 敎育에 힘쓰고, 勤勞로 報國하는, 淸貧한 關北關西 邊方 선비의 삶을 600년 살아 왔습니다. 역사에 이름을 남기신 先代 宗親 중 代表的이신 분은 入灣 浩堅 始祖의 6代孫으로 李适 亂을 平靜하시여 振武原從一等功臣 되시고, 一六二七年 丁卯胡亂 時 오랑캐를 무찌르시고 壯烈히 二十七歲로 殉國하신 參議公 泰巖 어른이십니다. 훗날 泰巖 어른은 肅宗 壬戌에 旌門이 세워지고, 英祖 丁亥년 兵曺參議로 追贈되시며, 純祖 甲申年에 龍川郡 楊光面 忠烈洞 白馬山城 안에 龜巖祠가 세워지고 公의神位를 모셔 儒林의 향배를 받아오셨는데 唯物史觀의 北韓政權下에서 과연 龜巖祠 향배가 옛과 같을지 마음 답답합니다.
邊方이 생활터전인 門中이지만 科擧에 及第한 宗親도 여러분 계십니다. 朝鮮朝 科擧試驗 及第者를 本貫 別로 조사한 資料에 의하면 邊方 사람들이기에 武科及第 宗親이 단연 많으시고 文科 及第 宗親은 두 분이십니다. 關北關西 사람에게 差別 待遇를 하던 朝鮮朝 時期에 文科 及第이기에, 朝鮮末 "洪景來의 亂"이 關西 平安道 사람들을 差別한 王朝 政策에 正面으로 맞선 亂이기도 했음을 想起한다면, 이 두 분은 平安道 義州 사람으로 "하늘의 별 따기" 같은 어려움을 극복한 특별한 뜻이 있습니다.
南韓에 500년 緣故가 없던 우리 門中은 日本의 强制占領 韓國戰爭 같은 現代史 激變으로 前者에는 中國 러시아로 移住하고 後者엔 南韓으로 越南을 하여 500년 만에 고향을 떠나 살게 되었습니다. 南韓에는 1985년 現在 2,355명의 宗親이 사는 것으로 統計廳 集計는 나오고. 이 밖에 在 美國 在 中國 在러시아 順으로 海外 宗親이 상당 수 있겠으나 정작 本鄕인 함경도 평안도의 門中 사람들은 守譜와 祖上恭敬이 果然 如意할지 疑問입니다.
族譜는 家門의 歷史로 各個人의 正體性을 確立하는 要素의 하나입니다. 바른 歷史觀을 갖는 個人이 모이면 氏族사랑이 보이고 그러한 氏族이 모이면 사랑과 平和를 아는 위대한 민족을 이룰 수 있으며, 이렇게 바른 歷史觀을 갖는 民族들이 하나로 되면 世界平和 人類共榮이 暢達될 것이니, 한 個人이 바른 歷史觀을 갖는다는 것은 바로 人類共榮과 平和라는 大業을 이루는 것이라 하겠습니다. 이번 第二戊子譜의 刊行이 이렇게 사랑과 平和를 위한, 門中 後代의 빛이 되기를 祈願합니다.

The Preface of
The second 'MooJa Edition' of the Genealogical Table
Kim Dal, the originator of Dae-gu Kim clan, the Advisory Vice Minister of Lee Dynasty's national defence ministry is
the descendant of King Gyeong-sun of Shilla Dynasty and the great-grandson of Kim Lon, 4th son of General Kim
Barng-Gyeong who had conquered Japan in former Goryeo(Korea) Dynasty. Dal pleaded guilty to dereliction of duty
to prevent 'The Treason of Cho sa-eu' that had been planned to restore the crown of King Lee seong-gye, the
founder of Lee Dynasty in the second year of King Taejong, Lee barng-won. So Dal was exiled to Gilju which, now
called Hamg-yeong-do province, located in north-eastern region of the Korean peninsular in January next year,
and Rye-Yeon, the eldest son of Dal moved from 'Dowha-chon village in Daegu to Gilju following his father.
Thereafter 'Daegu Kim' was started designating the first ancestor Dal's birthplace, Daegu as the name of clan. And
the Gilju Group was also founded.
After 90 years, in 1495, under the reign of King Yeon-san-gun, there lived the brothers Ho-yeon and Ho-gyeon, the descendants of Bu-hyeong who was the second son of the originator Dal. The elder brother Ho-yeon moved from Daegu to Ham-gyeong-do province to the north avoiding the difficult times of political change. His offsprings were called the Seopo Group in Ham-gyeong-do. The younger brother Ho-gyeon moved to Pyeong-an-do, to the west. From that time he became the founder of the Yong-an Group which spreaded to 7 sub-groups afterwards. Like this, three ancestors made three Family groups and each group has managed it's own table of family tree.
Daegu Kim Clan had made genealogical tables like 'Gyechuk edition' in 1843, 'Muja edition in 1888, 'Gyehae edition' in 1923, 'Imshin edition' in1932, 'Musul edition' in 1958, 'Muo edition' in1978. Among these, 'Gyehae edition' in 1923 was the copy of their own for the Gilju Group and the Seopo Group. In this meaningful time of 2008, the 60th anniversary of founding of the Republic of Korea, the 'Muja edition' has it's birth being published as the second 'Muja edition' after 120 years from that in 1888. During the modern history of war and disaster, seven publications of genealogical table shows how much we, Daegu Kims love our clan.
From the time of entering to the north and the west Yong-man in the past, it had been the real condition that there had not been a member of clan and futhermore just a copy of the family tree table in south Korea. Fortunately, there was Ji-cheong, the elder among the members who came to the South. He passed the genealogical table to the south Korea crossing the Dae-dong-gang river by swim tieing up the 'Imshin edition' to his head in the time of Korean War. After then we had issued family table three times on the basis of the copy wetted in the water of Dae-dong-gang river. We have referred to him as 'the grandfather of family table' with respect to his great love for the clan. The memory is still fresh.
However, in spite of the great love for the clan, until the last 'Muo edition' in1978, the ways of managing the genealogical table by each family group have been unchanged and out-dated. Non the less there is only one originator, Dal, Seo-po Group had regarded Dae-seong, the son in the ninth generation of Dal as the first ancestor, giving respect to him as the father of restoration. And Yong-man Group also had made Ho-gyeon, the son in the third generation of Dal as the first generation and the father of restoration. So It has been difficult to discern the ancestors among three groups as if three clans lived in one house.
Even though each group has their own father of restoration, if each call the restorer the first ancestor, It could not be the filial piety to Dal, the originator. Therefore we make it a new rule that each group's father of restoration should be recorded clearly in the genealogical table, but Ho-gyeon, the father of restoration of Yong-man Group should be changed from the first ancestor into the third ; Dae-seong, the father of restoration of Seopo Group, from the first to the ninth. So we wish clan members eval!uate it as the very meaningful event that we carried out great unification resolutely in the second 'Muja edition' this time, and by doing so we could make descendants stand rightly in front of Dal, the originator.
Daegu Kims have not build a family in power, we could say, but have got their living honestly as the gentlemen in the north-western border region for 600 years bleeding at the battlefield in the time of national disaster, paying tax eagerly, making their best efforts for education in the community, recompensing the nation with hard works.
There have been the prominent ancestors in history. Among them the representative famed elder, Advisory Vice Minister Tae-am was the son in the sixth generation of the founder Ho-gyeon who entered to Yong-man. He became the first grade meritorious retainer after putting down the turmoil by Lee gual. And he died for the country enthusiastically at his age of 27 wiping out the northern barbarians during 'Jeong-myo-Horan War' (the invasion of chinese Ching Dynasty) in 1627.
Afterwards a red memorial gate was erected for him in the year of 'Imsul" during King Sug-jong, the court rank of the Advisory Vice Minister of Defence was conferred posthumously in the year of 'Jeonghae' during King Yeong-jo. Gu-am-sa was also built inside Baek-ma(white horse) mountain castle in Yong-cheon-goon county in the year of 'Gapshin' during the time of King Soon-jo, and thereafter the ancestral tablet of the elder had been placed and worshiped by Confucianism scholars and students in the community. But to our regret, it is doubtful that the worship at the Gu-m-sa shrine is being continued like that of the past time under the north Korean regime based on the materialistic conception of history.
Though their ground for living had been in border area, there had been many members who passed the higher civil service exam. By a survey, passed candidates by their original place of family name, there are many Daegu Kims passed in the military exam apparently and two members in the administration exam . But these two members, as the people in Eu-ju County of Pyeong-an-do province, had extraordinary meaning that they had overcome the difficulties like 'picking the stars in the sky' because they had passed the exam not withstanding the discriminating treatment to the residences in the north and the west in the era of Lee Dynasty. We can know the fact considering that the Hong gyeong-nae revolt was begun counteracting against the Dynasty's policy of the discrimination to Pyeong-an-do province in the west around the end of Lee Dynasty.
Our clan, who had not had the social relations for 500 years in the south, had moved to China and Russia during the era of Japan's occupation by force and crossed to the south in the years of the Korean War, therefore they must have lived departing northern hometown in 500 years in the midst of violent changes of the contemporary history. There were 2,355 members in the south by the National Statistics Service in 1985. We assumed there are some members in U.S.A, China and Russia. But we are afraid the members in Pyeong-an-do province and Ham-gyeong-do province could actually manage the genealogical table and worship the ancestors.
The genealogical table is the history of a clan and one of the factors which can help each member establish his own identity. Each member with right historical conception can make a clan society of love, and those clans can come together, become the great nation who know love and peace. After then by changing those nations with historical conception to 'one', we will be able to realize world peace and human beings' mutual prosperity. Therefore it is the way to achieving mutual prosperity and peace of humans that each person has right historical conception. In this time, we wish the second publication of the 'Muja edition be the light of descendants of our Daegu Kim clan for the love and peace like that way.
