누가 뭔가를 잘못했으면, 잘못한 사람이 잘못한 것에 대한 책임을 져야하는 것처럼,
누군가 죄를 졌으면, 그 사람은 그 죄의 삯을 받아야 한다, 치러야 한다.
그런데, 하나님은 그 사람의 죄를 사해 주시기 위해
어떤 제물이 그 사람이 받아야 할 벌을 대신 받아 죽게 하고, 그 사람을 살려주셨다.
[ 레4:27~29 ] 만일 평민의 하나가 여호와의 금령 중 하나라도 부지중에 범하여 허물이 있었다가 *그 범한 죄에 깨우침을 받거든 그는 흠 없는 암염소를 끌고 와서 그 범한 죄를 인하여 그것을 예물로 삼아 *그 속죄제 희생의 머리에 안수하고 그 희생을 번제소에서 잡을 것이요
[ Lev4:27~29 ] "'If a member of the community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD'S commands, he is guilty. *When he is made aware of the sin he committed, he must bring as his offering for the sin he committed a female goat without defect. *He is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering.
[ Lev4:27~29 ] And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; *Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. *And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
하나님은 그 대속 제물의 피로 그 사람의 죄를 덮어주신 것이다.
[ 레4:30 ] 제사장은 손가락으로 그 피를 찍어 번제단 뿔에 바르고 그 피 전부를 단 밑에 쏟고
[ Lev4:30 ] Then the priest is to take some of the blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
[ Lev4:30 ] And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
