This morning, I went to WBLC Refugee School and taught English and art with my wife. On the way back, we stopped by Little India and went to our favorite vegetarian Indian restaurant for South Indian Meal and Butter Naan as lunch. Then I stopped at an Indian super market and bought some cheap but effective hair dye.
Just like in India, in Indian stores in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, if the store owner is Hindu, there is always a Hindu idol in the store.
Today too, I saw a small Ganesha idol at the checkout counter.
As a single sculpture, it seems to be relatively well made. However, on the other hand, I cannot help but feel frustrated and sad when I see Indians unable to stop idolatry over such insignificant things.
