Christian identity (Romans 8:9-11)
In church, it is usually said that we who believe in Jesus must live differently from the people of the world.
When I hear these words, my heart sinks.
How do you believe in Jesus?
You will say that you believe that Jesus is Christ, right?
So why should we always accept Christ again and again?
Why did he have to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit again, speak in tongues, and have signs appear?
All kinds of cults are emerging due to belief that one believe in Jesus and receive God's grace.
Eternal life is knowing that one is connected to His Son and God the Father in the Holy Spirit. (John 17:3)
Beliefs such as buying a 20kg can of LPG gas and then replacing it when it runs out are not normal.
Q. What are the requirements for being a Christian?
“But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:9)
A. The Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, must be in you.
They refer to the church as ekklesia and say that if you come to a church from the world and believe in Jesus, you will join a club called the church and become a christian.
That's an answer to the question of what religion is, but it ended up becoming a cutoff point for churches.
If a person claims to believe in Jesus but cannot eat Him because Christ is outside, like the church in Laodicea, then he cannot say that he is a child of God in heaven.
Perhaps the vocabulary of church and Christianity has become so standardized on earth that the heavenly church is no longer visible.
The word ‘if’ here means that certain conditions clearly exist.
The term “in the Spirit” means that God views us as spiritual beings.
This means that if the Spirit of God dwells in us, God recognize us as being in the Holy Spirit.
So, if you do not have the Spirit of Christ, you are not a person of Christ.
If the Spirit of God is within you and you live according to the Spirit, you become a person of the Spirit.
Q. What evidence does a Christian have about himself?
“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8:10)
A. Even when we were not born again outside of Christ, I had a dual personality of good and evil.
Even after becoming a new creation in Christ, we still seem to have a dual existence.
It is said that within us is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9), and Christ appears.
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, it came from dust and to dust it will return, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
This means that our bodies return to the dust of the universe, but our spirit is a spirit that has received the life of God.
The Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, works for us as the Spirit of life.
If the anointing of the Holy Spirit dwells in us, we dwell in the Son and in the Father (1 John 2:24)
When this work of the Holy Spirit is revealed externally, it becomes the gift of an external sign, that is, the gift of ministry.
Therefore, we must be able to distinguish between external and internal gifts.
I am not denying external gifts. I really need it.
Even now, the gift of the Holy Spirit is needed for missions to the Third World.
However, the spirit of ministry is not the spirit of personality, so understand it as the difference between chaff and wheat.
There is nothing better to reveal the existence of God to those who do not know God than an external gift, such as a sign of the appearance of the Holy Spirit.
However, we must keep in mind that when God is revealed his exists within us, it must be clearly the truth in order to become holy and experience eternal life in Christ.
External gifts are for ministry.
But it is not eternal life.
If you abide in the Son and the Father in the anointing, He will give you eternal life as promised (1 John 2:25)
The appearance of the Holy Spirit is only evidence that reveals the existence of heaven.
But Christ is eternal life for us. He gives life and gives it abundantly (John 10:10)
We must discern between the spirit of ministry that appears externally and the spirit of existence that resides within us forever.
The first man, Adam, was made a living soul, but the last Adam was made a life-giving spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45).
Q. What is salvation after becoming a Christian?
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)
A. Not only is the spirit alive, but the redemption of the body continues.
It is the Spirit of God who brought Jesus back to life.
When Jesus was on earth, he had his Father in him and worked by the Holy Spirit.
And he died on the cross and rose again, and the Holy Spirit brought Christ back to life.
God says that if the Spirit of the Father, who raised Christ from the dead, is within us, God will also raise our bodies to life through his Spirit.
If the Spirit of God is within us, it is natural for us to suddenly change on the last day.
If the Spirit of God is within us, it is natural for us to change our physical tent.
The Spirit of him who raised Jesus Christ from the grave is within us.
If Christ died and rose again under the curse of the law through the Spirit within us , the power of his life can overcome death, the curse of the law.
He who overcomes death is within us, so we also overcome death.
The life is supplied to our spirit and becomes life to our body and our mortal body. (2 Corinthians 4:10-11)
Observe the process of a pupa becoming a moth.
Although a pupa and a moth have different shapes, take a close look at the process of the moth's life being added to the pupa and changing into a moth.
This is the life that appears in our bodies through the Spirit of Christ.
When Jesus Christ was born, he was conceived by the Holy Spirit and possesses the Spirit of God.
Christ's body became the resurrection body when he rose from the grave.
Jesus' existence was different when he lived for 33 years and when he was resurrected.
In Luke 24, two disciples on their way to Emmaus accompanied the resurrected Lord.
However, they did not know because he was a different from Jesus in the flesh.
Mary, who went to the tomb, thought that the resurrected Jesus was the gardener.
He has already become a resurrected body who can move in and out of time and space as he pleases.
To sum it up again, the Spirit who raised Christ after his death on the cross always lives within us and is with us forever.
It means that through the Spirit, He will become present life in our mortal bodies and in the future He will transform our bodies into glorious in an instant.
