1. Present Perfect Continuous(현재 완료 진행 시제)
I've been painting my bed room.
→ It doesn't matter whether it has been finished or not.
- My hands are very dirty. I've been repairing my bike.
- Joe has been eating too much lately. He should eat less.
- It's nice to see you again. What have you been doing since we last met?
2. Present Perfect(과거 완료 시제)
I've painted my bed room.
→ It's completed action. We're thinking about the result.
- My bike is okay agian now. I've repaired it.
- Somebody has eaten all the chocolates.
- Where's the book I gave you? What have you done with it?
3. Present Perfect Continuous(현재 완료 진행 시제)
We use to say how long(for something that is still happening)
- How long have you been reading that book?
- Amy is writing emails. She's been writing emails all moring.
- They've been playing tennis since 2:00.
- I'm learning Arabic, but I haven't been learing it very long.
4. Present Perfect(현재 완료 시제)
We use to say how much, how many, how many times(for completed actions)
- How many pages of that book have you read?
- Amy hasn't sent a lot of emails this morning.
- They've played tennis three times this week.
- I'm learing Arabic, but I haven't learned very much yet.
5. Some vebs → Continuous form X
- I've known about the problem for a long time.
- How long have you had that camera?
But we can use 'want', 'mean' in the Present Perfect Continuous
- I've been meaning to phone Anna, but keep forgetting.
