Review the process of personal salvation
Romans 8:1-8 speaks of those who are in Christ.
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death.
And for those who are in Christ Jesus, their minds change (Romans 8:6)
The change in mindset by the Spirit of life is a miraculous blessing.
It is definitely a miracle that I, who was chasing earthly treasures, am now chasing heavenly treasures.
This is the first and most important blessing of those in Christ.
Next, Romans 8:9-11 is the soil that can be converted to spiritual thinking.
If the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, is within me, it is created from the soil that is not in the flesh but in the spirit.
It is a new land and a good and fruitful land.
Therefore, it is declared that the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness (Romans 8:10).
The body is a lump of clay, and its spirit creates waves.
If it is strong, your body may tremble to the point of vibrating.
DL Moody did that, and so did Pastor Gil Seon-ju in Pyongyang.
If the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is within us, the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead also raises our mortal bodies.
If the Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead is within us, the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead will also give life our mortal bodies.
A person of this kind of faith has the soil of mind that allows him to think spiritually rather than flesh.
It is a new land that has been born again.
Of course, we are not looking at the old heaven, but looking towards the new heaven.
So we gain life and peace.
In one word, peace is strong confidence.
Confidence in his own existence and in his relationship with God.
Also, like David, you will have confidence in your sure hope for the future.
Then go one step further to Romans 8:12-17.
This is the story of ‘those who do not follow the flesh but follow the spirit.’
Through the inner testimony of the Holy Spirit, you have strong confidence as a child of God.
Such a person is given the same sense of entitlement as being crowned crown prince.
A crown is not something you wear on your head; it is a token of authority like a crown.
God's children become joint heirs with Christ.
Therefore, the Holy Spirit always follows us as our tutor.
In the past, when a crown prince was appointed, two of the ministers were appointed as tutors...
What God bequeaths himself to us is our eternal inheritance.
As it says in Genesis 1:27-28:
"God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him: male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over..."
The blessing is the inheritance we receive from God.
Therefore, we must advance to fruitfulness, multiplication, fulfillment, conquest, and dominion.
In the Bible, Genesis is about birth.
It is the origin of everything.
The Exodus is a prosperous story in which 70 men went down and the number of men reached 603,550.
The prosperous Israelites are filled through the books of Numbers and Deuteronomy.
The concept of fullness is not just about numbers.
It is full in numbers, but it is also full in quality.
Fullness is a feeling of full of morale.
And Joshua went to conquer Canaan. A model for governance is presented through the Book of Judges and 1 and 2 Samuel.
From Romans 8:17 onwards, after personal salvation is completed, they become children of God, and from Romans 8:18 onwards, God's heirs enter the faith of sharing glory and suffering with Christ.
As the result, it says, 'What kind of work of God will they be?'
Now, all creation is waiting with eager anticipation to be ruled through the gospel, through truth, and through love.
Because they are now giving in to futility.
They are chained to human systems and organizations, groaning and trapped like model prisoners.
People under the law quickly recognize those who have received freedom by receiving the new covenant.
As mentioned above, the dead thing is nothing more than a lump of dirt, but the spirit spreads out in waves.
So the outwardly christians are challenged by the inwardly christians.
So how should we govern them?
We must govern with freedom, love, and service.
This is God's will.
God gives man a heart that longs for eternity, so whether he bows to the law, to the words of men, or to the desires of his own, he groans and look around to find the salt and light that expresses the glorious freedom of the sons of God.
What we can show people like him is the life of Romans 8:18 and below.
So, up to Romans 8, it is personal salvation and the salvation of all things (creation).
Romans chapters 9 to 11 are the story of physical Israel and spiritual Israel.
So the Bible tells Israel that they are not all Israel (Romans 9:6).
Paul states what is God's sovereignty (Romans 9), how is God's sovereignty made into providence?, (Romans 10) and what is God's judgment on that providence? (Romans 11)
He said that kindness and severity are the standards of providential judgment (Romans 11:22) and recorded how the Jews would be saved again according to the full number of the Gentiles.
