How do Olympians manage to perform such incredible athletic feats?
Ask most of us average couch potatoes, and we'll probably talk about relentless practice, bottomless determination, and the strength to take a physical beating and just keep going.
There's no doubt a fair bit of truth to this idea that world-class athletes
constantly push themselves to their limits and beyond.
No one that I have ever heard of has argued you can win a gold medal by taking it easy.
But when you actually read about what allowed Olympians to achieve the very pinnacle of performance in their sport, you often hear something very different.
