[Topic1- South Korea believe money equals happiness]
Young South Koreans say money is the most important thing in life, according to a recent study. The poll suggested that financial security is most important for those who grew up during the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s.
A South Korean advertising agency polled more than 200 people across the nation who had been in middle or high school during the financial crisis. More than 78 percent said that money was an important life goal. A large number of the people surveyed said they have memories of their parents or other family members suffering from money problems. Sixty percent of those polled said that wealth means success and 68 percent said it makes people happier, as well.
Other reports show that only 7.2 percent of South Koreans think that money is not related to happiness. However, in other countries, an average of 24.3 percent of the population does not feel that there is a connection between money and happiness.
On the other hand, South Koreans are currently ranked at the bottom of many international happiness polls despite having the 13th largest economy in the world. A recent Gallup poll said that between 1992 and 2010, a period in which the country’s per capita GDP tripled, the number of Koreans who were happy about their lives dropped by 10 percent. In fact, the nation currently has the smallest proportion of people who say they are very happy. A little over 7 percent said they were very happy; while 65.9 percent said they were unhappy.

[Topic2- Life Style.]
People have different life styles. Some only pursue self-oriented happiness without considering other people. They get happiness from wielding political power and economic influence over others. They seem to think they are happy. But they are actually disappointed after all : since man's desire is endless, nothing can satisfy their needs. They must remember that the first step to happiness is to restrict one's desire.
Priests, monks, nuns are the outstanding examples of those who try to be happy by refraining from worldly passion.
They think they're happy because they're living the way God orders them to live. For them, however, one question also remains : Are they "really" happy if they have no personal autonomy?
A third group consists of very ordinary people. They have no political or economic power. They're at the mercy of political ups and downs and the economic situation. But they treasure their families and value little things from which they can get happiness. They're happy if they have three meals a day, a car, a summer vacation, enough money to educate their children. They feel happy when they play tennis instead of golf. They're happy with a compact car and never worry about driving a sedan.
Who are the happiest people? Who knows? If you think you're happy, you are. Happiness is how you think about yourself and the world you live in
