It was announced worldwide in Korean and English for the internationalization of Korean golf courses. Korea is the eighth-largest golf powerhouse in the world. Of the 38,081 golf courses in the world, Korea has 2.1 percent. 0.66% of the world's population and 5,565 people per hole. For reference, there are 1,365 in the United States, 1,480 in the United Kingdom, and 2,790 in Japan.</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"> </p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #000000; background-color: #fbfbfb;" data-ke-size="size16">The Commission comprehensively eval‎uated the widely practiced course eval‎uation criteria such as Shot Value, Resistance to Score, Design Variety, Memorability, Aesthetics, Conditioning, Contribution, and Service. In particular, we highly appreciated the global contribution to promoting Korean golf to the world and promoting exchanges and active promotion with overseas golf courses.</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"> </p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #000000; background-color: #fbfbfb;" data-ke-size="size16">Gunsan CC has a 18-hole membership system (Red-Lake) and 63-hole public, which is the largest 81 holes in Korea consisting of a total of nine 9 holes courses. In particular, the public Gimje Course Hole 1 (par 6, 661 meters) and Jeongeup Course Hole 3 (par 7, 1004 meters) is the longest hole in the world. With this uniqueness, it proudly entered Korea's top 100 courses. Unfortunately, however, the official record for the world's longest hole is the seventh hole (964 yards) of Japan's Satsuki GC (Sano, Japan). Efforts are needed to correct this on the golf course side. </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"> </p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #000000; background-color: #fbfbfb;" data-ke-size="size16">Park Chang-yeol and Park Jeong-ho, presidents of Gochang CC and Prestin Valley GC, entered the top 100 courses in high recognition for their contribution to the development of Korean golf courses while serving a second term.</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"> </p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #000000; background-color: #fbfbfb;" data-ke-size="size16">The nation's largest golf club with a total of 93 holes will be completed, including a 54-hole membership course at Oak Valley CC and Oak Hills CC, an 18-hole public course at Seongmunan CC, and 18 holes at Oak Creek GC and 3 holes at practice holes scheduled to be completed in 2023. As a result, the record of Gunsan CC (81 holes), the largest golf club so far, will be changed.</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"> </p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #000000; background-color: #fbfbfb;" data-ke-size="size16">As a single golf group, Golfzone County, which owns 18 golf clubs, is creating a new wind in the golf industry. It is also worth noting that the golf zone, which has grown rapidly through screen golf, is undergoing a new paradigm of experiments in which existing golf clubs and golf courses are acquired and grouped into one system. The Asian Golf Tourism Convention held in Miyazaki, Japan in March 2023, is an important event that marks the first start of Asian golf tourism, which has been suspended for three years since COVID-19.
