The 10^th BSU International Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Competition/Exhibition

1.    Objectives

The 10^th International Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Competition/Exhibition will be held in Beijing Sport University from April 4^th to April 11^th 2010. It is indeed a good chance to promote the international culture exchange and strengthen the friendship with the spreading of the Daoyin Yangsheng Gong exercises in different parts of the world.

7.    Participation

(1) The groups and individuals from different countries and regions in the world relating to Daoyin Yangsheng Gong and Health qigong can apply for the competition

(2) Each delegation may include 1-2 heads , 1-2 coaches. The event participants should be under 75 years old, and there is no limitation in number.

(3) The age and health condition of the participants have to be confirmed according to the stamp or signature on the registration form. The delegation and individuals have to be responsible for all kinds of diseases caused by their health condition during the competition.

(4) All the participants should buy the personal accident insurance, and sign the “Statement of Safety and Responsibility” (It is attached to the opposite of the application form)

8.    Competition

(1) The events consist of group and individual performance.

(2) Group competition: Each group makes up of at least 4 participants. No more than two events can be chosen by one group. There is no limitation in age and sex.

(3) Each group have to decide their own formation and clothes. The style and color of the clothes should be the same.

(4) Individual events: No more than three events can be chosen by one participant. Individual participants will be divided into Group A and Group B. The participants over 60(including 60) years old will belong to Group A. The participants under 59(including 59) will belong to Group B. There is no sex limitation.

(5) The procedure of drawing lots will be accomplished by the arrangement group under the supervision of the arbitration committee. All the groups and individual participants should enter the court to take part in the competition in turn according to the program.

(6) All the groups and individual participants should enter and walk off the court according to the requirements and give a salute respectively.

(7) The competition achievements will be judged according to the “The Competition Rules for Health Qigong” which is formulated by General Administration of Sport of China.

(8) The competition music will be prepared by the organization committee. The music recorded by the Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Center of Beijing Sport University will be used to Daoyin Yangsheng Gong and the system of Taiji for cultivating the life. The music for the four kinds of Health Qigong without commentaries will be used to the Health Qigong.

(9)  Green competition and Healthy competition are advocated by the organization committee. All the participants should pay attention to no smoking, no quarrel and less alcohol. Please respect referees and be a polite spectator. The behaviors of the delegation and individual participants will be supervised by the referees outside the court. The results will be the judgments to the civilization awards.

9.    Awards

(1) Group Events: They can be divided into Health Qigong, Daoyin Yangsheng Gong and Taiji for cultivating the life. Based on the points given by the referees, the groups at the top 30% will be awarded with the golden cup, the next 40% will be awarded with the silver cup, and the bronze cup for the left 30%.

(2) Individual Events: They can be divided into Health Qigong, Daoyin Yangsheng Gong and Taiji for cultivating the life. Based on the points given by the referees, the participants from each group at the top 30% will be awarded with the golden medals, the next 40% will be awarded with the silver medals, and the bronze medals for the left 30%.

10.             Application

(1) Application Date: Any groups or individual participants who want to take part in the competition, please fill in the application form according to the requirements and send it to the contacts in the way of email, fax and letter. The deadline of application is March 10^th ,2010.

(2) Please make sure that the characters on the application form are clear with accurate information.

(3) The registration date for the training seminar for Health Qigong·Daoyin Yangsheng Gong 12 forms is April 6^th, 2010.

Training seminar: April 7^th and April 8^th , 2010.

All the participants should register before 18:00pm on April 8^th,2010. The meetings for the Organization Committee, the heads and coaches will be held on the evening of April 8^th.

The competition will be held from April 9^th to April 10^th, 2010.

The Closing Ceremony and the celebration for Professor Zhang Guangde’s 80^th birthday will be held on the evening of April 10^th.

The ending date: April 11^th, 2010.

The participants, who are going to register ahead of time or leave earlier, please make it known to us on the application form.

11.              City-Tour

A city-tour to visit the places of interest will be organized after the competition. Participate voluntarily, and choose any route you are interested in from the following:

(1) Time: April 11^th.

(2) Route: ① The Great Wall, The thirteen Ming Tombs

      ② The Forbidden Palace, Tian An Men Square, Shopping

      ③ The Great Wall, The Bird’s Nest

Please choose only one route and fill it in the registration form.

12.             Costs

(1) The registration fee: 200yuan(including the heads and coaches)

(2) Group Events: 50yuan/person/event

Individual Events: 100yuan/person/event

(3) The training fee for Health Qigong·Daoyin Yangsheng Gong 12 forms: 800yuan/person

(4) Meals and Accommodation

Beijing Sport University Hotel:

540yuan/person/day (double room)

620yuan/person/day (single room)

  Beijing Sport University training Center:

640yuan/person/day (double room)

Notes:

Meals include breakfast, lunch and supper (Have meals outside the appointed site, pay by yourself.)

Airport pick-up once(Please fill in the arrival date and your flight number in the registration form.)

City-Tour pick-up once (including the tickets to the scenic spots of one route)

The rooms will be arranged according to the sequences of registration.

(5) Anyone who wants to take part in the closing ceremony and banquet has to pay 200yuan. (If you have paid the meals and accommodation, you are free of charge.)

(6) The groups and participants national-wide pay the meals, accommodation and public vehicles by yourself. (If you have any difficulties, please contact earlier, we will provide help for you.)

(7) The package fee can be paid in USD, Japanese Yen, EUR or RMB, according to the current exchange rate issued by Bank of China.

The honorable certificates will be issued by the organization committee to those sponsors with a contribution of over 5,000yuan and their names will be published on the program of the Competition/Exhibition.
