"Subhuti, if someone says, 'The Buddha speaks of a view of self, a view of person, a view of sentient-being and a view of life-span,' Subhuti, what do you think? Does that person understand the meaning of my teaching?" "No, World Honoured One, that person does not understand the meaning of the Tathagata's teaching. Why? What the Tathagata speaks of a view of self, a view of person, a view of sentient- being and a view of life-span, are not the view of self, the view of person, the view of sentient-being and the view of life-span. They are called a view of self, a view of person, a view of sentient- being and a view of life-span."
"Subhuti, those whose minds have risen to be in the Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi should know just like this, see just like this, trust and understand just like this. They should not give rise to any notion of dharmas in all the dharmas."
"Subhuti, what is said about the notion of dharmas by the Tathagata is not a notion of dharmas. It is called a notion of dharmas."
Chapter 31 지견불생분知見不生 | 지견을 내지 아니하니
The lord Buddha continued: "If any person were to say that the Buddha, in his teachings, has constantly referred to himself, to other selves, to living beings, or to a universal self, what do you think, would that person have understood my meaning?" Subhuti replied, "No, blessed lord. That person would not have understood the meaning of your teachings. For when you refer to those things, you are not referring to their actual existence, you only use the words as figures of speech, as symbols. Only in that sense can words be used, for conceptions, ideas, limited truths, and spiritual truths have no more reality than have matter or phenomena." Then the lord Buddha made his meaning even more emphatic by saying: "Subhuti, when people begin their practice of seeking to attaining total Enlightenment, they ought to see, to perceive, to know, to understand, and to realize that all things and all spiritual truths are no-things, and, therefore, they ought not to conceive within their minds any arbitrary conceptions whatsoever."

Section 31. Conventional Truth Should be Cut Off
Subhuti, if anyone should say that Buddha declares any conception of egoity do you consider he would understand my teaching aright? No, World-honoured One, such a man would not have any sound understanding of the Tathagata`s teaching, because the World-honoured One declares that notions of selfhood, personality, entity and separate individuality, as really existing, are erroneous - these terms are merely figures of speech. 〔Thereupon Buddha said〕: Subhuti, those who aspire to the Consummation of Incomparable Enlightenment should recognize and understand all varieties of things in the same way and cut off the arising of 〔views which are mere〕 aspects. Subhuti, as regards aspects, the Tathagata declares that in reality they are not such. They are called "aspects".

“Subhūti, suppose a person says, ‘The Buddha teaches views of a self, a person, a being, and a life.’ Subhūti, what do you think? Does this person understand the meaning of my teachings?” “No, Bhagavān, this person does not understand the meaning of the Tathāgata’s teachings. Why? The views of a self, a person, a being, and a life, that the Bhagavān speaks of, are not views of a self, a person, a being, or a life, and are thus called the views of a self, a person, a being, and a life.” “Subhūti, regarding all dharmas, one who is developing the mind of Anuttarā Samyaksaṃbodhi should thusly know, thusly see, and thusly believe, not giving rise to notions of dharmas. Subhūti, the true characteristic of dharmas is not a characteristic of dharmas, and is thus called the characteristic of dharmas.
