제가 제시한 증거 등이 너무 확실하여 24년6월 해당 민사재판에서 승소했습니다만, 승소 재판문 뒷부분에 제가 한국국적 외국인이기 때문에 승소금 10분의1에 해당하는 돈을 언제까지 예탁해야 된다는 강제 규정을 뜻밖에 만나게 되어 또 다시 ‘어떻게 이 많은 돈을 호주 자산이 동결된 상태에서 조달하는가?’라는 난제를 만나게 됩니다.

호주 건전성감독청 전속 변호사팀조차 이 조항을 전혀 예상하지 못했는데, 이는 이러한 제도가 24년부터 호주 정부에 의해 시행된 탓도 있습니다. 이런 시행초기라는 점을 호주 정부는 전혀 정상참작하지 않아 결국 저는 백만불 넘는 이 예치금과 더불어 더불어 지체료도 무려 170,844usd를 호주 정부에 납부했다.

이쯤 되면 내가 죽지 않고 여기까지 따라왔다는 것 자체가 기적인 것인데, 이 시기 이 제도를 2024년부터 강제로 시행한 장본인인 앨버지니 총리는 저와 완전 거꾸로 430만호주달러 고급주택을 추가로 구매하셨군요

선거 이겼다고 이런 식으로 공익신고자를 더 처절하게 짓밟지 말아주기를 간절히 호소한다. 이런 식의 태도를 호주 법무부장관이 가하니, 애초부터 공익신고자인 나는 ‘어떻게 이 많은 돈을 호주 자산이 동결된 상태에서 조달하는가?’라는 난제를 호주 법무부의 변덕스럽고 자의적이고 예측가능성 제로인 걸 처음부터 깨닫지 못하고 이 늪에 서서히 빠지게 된 것이다.

마크 드레푸스 법무장관 등이 교묘하게도 비열한 방법으로 매우 오랜 시간 동안 공익신고자에게 가했다는 점의 근본적인 원인은 이 권력의 재형성을 확인한 25년5월3일 선거 승리 이틀 뒤에 위와 같은 일방적인 조치가 취해지는 상황에서 그 원인을 간접적으로 추정할 수 있는 것이다, 결국 이 모든 책임의 최종자는 앨버니지 총리인 것이다.

이런 측면에서 앨버니지 총리의 결자해지를 촉구하며 부탁드린다. 왜냐하면 마크 드레푸스 장관은 자신의 명백한 실수(비용을 물을 때 마치 이게 마지막인 것처럼 수차례 유인)와 잘못(자신이 발행한 문서 약속을 4번을 파기)을 전혀 인정하지 않기 때문이다.

나는 24년12월30일 호주 법무장관이 뜻밖에 국제법에 반하는 이중처벌과 각종 수수료를 전혀 별 건의 민사소송 승소자에게 강제 부과할 때부터, 매우 심각한 상태로 파산했다. 나의 아버지는 이런 나의 사회적 매장을 걱정하여 이미 매우 어려운 상황인데도, 그 때 25년1월17일에 그 돈을 25년1월6일 문서약속을 믿고 보내며 같이 파산했다.

그래서 25년2월에 나는 더 이상 아무것도 할 수 없다는 걸 말했던 것이다.

그런데 그 이후 앨버니지 총리 내각의 법무장관은 나의 의사와 관계없이 새 돈을 받으며다시 나와 나의 부모님을 유인했고, 그 이후 다시 지금까지 한국돈으로 무려 4억3천만원이라는 돈을 25년4월14일까지 보내면서, 매우 심각한 상황에 돌입했다

지금까지 상황은 모든 걸 한꺼번에 말하지 않아서 무려 5번 이상을 내가 돈을 보내고 나서 다른 이야기하는 호주 정부에게 막무가내로 당하고 있다는 점이다

부디, 지금까지 호주 정부를 믿고 긴 시간을 이렇게 끝까지 온 나와 그리고 나의 불쌍한 부모님을 살려주시기를 간청드린다

As a public interest reporter, I had no intention of going to trial at first, but the Australian government system is a system that requires a civil trial once you have filed a public interest report, so I had no choice but to passively participate in the trial and win. However, at the end of the trial decision, a mandatory provision was added that required me to pay a deposit equivalent to 1/10 of the trial winning salt because I am a foreigner of Korean nationality.

In September 2024, I was unable to raise money within the deadline, so I sold my house in Korea and suddenly became a wanderer, leaving my belongings piled up without a home.

Even before Prime Minister Albanese purchased a luxury home worth 4.3 million Australian dollars in September 2024, he already owned a townhouse and lived at the Prime Minister's residence.

However, as a public interest reporter who ultimately contributed to the Australian government's treasury income of a whopping USD 18 million, the reason why I had no choice but to sell my only house, let alone my official residence, through a quick sale rather than at the market price was because Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had forced the implementation of this system from 2024, but did not properly inform the Australian Prudential Supervision Authority's exclusive team of lawyers.

Rather than ending it with a public interest report, the Australian government effectively forced it into a civil trial, and while blocking access to my money in Australia, it made me pay $760,000 in legal fees to the Australian Prudential Supervision Authority's exclusive team of lawyers.

After doing my best to pay $760,000 in legal fees to the Australian Prudential Supervision Authority, the team of lawyers exclusively assigned to the Prudential Regulation Authority who received the money mentioned $100,000 in legal fees, so I had to solve the difficult problem of ‘How do I raise this money when my Australian assets are frozen?’

The evidence I presented was so strong that I won the civil trial in June 2024. However, at the end of the winning judgment, I unexpectedly encountered a mandatory rule that stipulated how long I had to deposit money equivalent to 1/10th of the winning amount since I am a Korean foreigner, so I was once again faced with the difficult problem of ‘How do I raise this much money while my Australian assets are frozen?’

Even the Australian Prudential Supervision Authority's dedicated team of lawyers did not anticipate this provision at all, which is partly because this system has been implemented by the Australian government since 2024. The Australian government did not take into account the fact that it was in the early stages of implementation, so in the end, I paid a whopping 170,844usd in late fees to the Australian government in addition to this deposit of over a million dollars.

At this point, it is a miracle in itself that I followed this far without dying, but at this time, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who was the one who enforced this system from 2024, went completely against me and purchased an additional luxury home worth 4.3 million Australian dollars.

However, in the meantime, without any additional circumstances, the Australian Attorney General inflicted the unilateral brutality of public power on me by unilaterally shortening the deadline by one month on May 5, 2025.

I earnestly appeal to you not to trample on public interest reporters even more cruelly like this just because you won the election. With this kind of attitude imposed by the Australian Attorney General, I, as a public interest reporter, gradually fell into this swamp without realizing from the beginning that the difficult question of ‘How do we raise this much money while Australian assets are frozen?’ is capricious, arbitrary, and has zero predictability of the Australian Department of Justice.

The fundamental cause of the fact that Attorney General Mark Dreyfus and others inflicted harm on public interest reporters in a clever and despicable way for a very long time can be indirectly inferred from the fact that the above unilateral action was taken two days after the election victory on May 3, 2025, which confirmed the re-establishment of this power. In the end, the ultimate person responsible for all of this is Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

In this regard, we request and urge Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to terminate his decision. This is because Minister Mark Dreyfuss does not admit at all to his obvious mistakes (when asked about costs, he lured several times as if this was the last time) and mistakes (he broke promises in documents he issued four times).

I have been in a very serious state of bankruptcy since December 30, 2024, when the Australian Attorney General unexpectedly imposed double punishment and various fees, which are against international law, on the winner of a completely separate civil suit. My father was worried about my social death, so even though I was already in a very difficult situation, he sent me the money on January 17, 2025, relying on a written promise on January 6, 2025, and we went bankrupt together.

That's why I said in February 2025 that I couldn't do anything anymore.

However, after that, the Attorney General of Prime Minister Albany's cabinet lured me and my parents again by receiving new money against my will, and after that, he sent me a whopping 430 million won in Korean currency until April 14, 2025, entering a very serious situation.

The situation so far is that I have sent money more than 5 times because they did not tell me everything at once, and then I am being treated cruelly by the Australian government, which tells me different things.

Please, I beg you to trust the Australian government and save me and my poor parents, who have come to the end of such a long time.

It is not just a coincidence that the crow flies and the fruit pear drops, but Prime Minister Albanese's poor management of his country's high-ranking civil servants, which he should have carried out, and the unilateral, unplanned enforcement of the policy without any extenuating circumstances or preparation for the system suddenly implemented in 2024, are killing me as a public interest reporter.

Lastly, I would like to convey to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese  the letter written by my mother, who is suffering in every way unbearable because of me.

“I implore the Australian Prime Minister and Minister of Justice to take into account the fact that ‘my son is the reporter of a public corruption case involving a high-ranking Australian public official and the plaintiff in the successful trial,’ and that he has become one of the poorest people with bad credit because of this Australian trial, and to devise the next best solution.

If the Australian government considers it to be a unilateral waiver in this way, the Australian government's justice is false, and the Australian Attorney General has lured the case by indicating the final conclusion of the trial three times, and 99% of the money has been sent to Australia. Therefore, it would be most reasonable if you do not mention it later this time and conclude the case by other means, such as deduction of the last amount requested.

In that case, the Australian government will be reputed as a humane and gentlemanly country instead of being criticized for being ‘tyranny of Australian government power’, and our two families who have fallen into a dying situation will be deeply grateful and God will bless them for the grace shown to them. “I ask and pray to God that the case be concluded rationally so that my family will not be destroyed by the Australian government’s conclusion that it is being labeled as a party to the theft of the public interest reporter’s property by government authorities.”
