1. Tautology: the error of saying the same thing’s already been said
Ex) He wrote his own auto biography.

He falsely mis represented the situation.

The future outlook seems rosier

The two cars hit head-on while traveling at 80 miles per hour straight for each other.
Kith and kin, ways and means, to all intents and purposes, bag and baggage, safe and sound---some tautologies whose antiquity affords them protection.

All she saw to begin with was the kaleidoscope of colours and shapes that had made her so dizzy the first time, but
A fine example of redundancy which consists of pointlessly repeating an idea. If I am correct, a kaleidoscope comes with small pieces of coloured paper in various shapes inside. If it is the kind that would make one’s head spin, it’d be enough to write ‘the kind’.
