봄의 첫날(春分)은 3월 20일이었고, 북반구는 다시 따뜻해지기 시작하여 화훼와 나무들이 꽃을 활짝 피우고 철새들이 돌아오고 있다. 역에 최근 몇 주 동안 북미, 아시아, 유럽에서 햇살, 꽃밭, 따뜻한 날씨가 다가올 징조인 봄 축제를 즐기는 사람들의 모습을 담은 다소의 사진들이 모여있다.

The first day of spring was on March 20, and the Northern Hemisphere has again begun to warm, bringing blooming flowers and trees and the return of migrating animals. Gathered here is a small collection of images from recent weeks in North America, Asia, and Europe of people enjoying sunshine, flowering fields, and spring festivals—signs of warmer days to come.

😉2025년 봄의 첫날은 언제일까요?

☀️2025년 춘분(春分)은 3월 20일 오전 5시 1분(미국 동부 표준시)이다. 목요일이며, 북반구에서는 봄, 남반구에서는 가을의 천문학적 시작을 의미한다. 북반구에서 춘분(春分)은 태양이 천구의 적도를 지나 남쪽에서 북쪽으로 이동할 때 발생한다. 이것은 지구의 적도 위 하늘에 있는 가상의 선이기 때문에 천구의 적도라고 불린다. 적도 위에 서 있다고 상상해 보세요. 태양은 북쪽으로 가는 길에 바로 머리 위로 지나갈 것이다. 3월 춘분에는 북반구와 남반구가 거의 같은 양의 햇빛을 받는다. 어느 반구도 다른 반구보다 태양을 향해 더 기울어지거나 태양으로부터 멀어지는 경향이 없다. 대부분의 지역(북극과 적도는 예외)에서 동지(冬至) 이후, 그리고 춘분(春分) 이후 매일 낮의 길이가 증가해 왔지만, 많은 지역에서는 하루 24시간 동안 낮이 어둠보다 길어질 것이다. 매일 낮의 길이는 하지(夏至, 6월)까지 계속 증가하여 낮의 길이가 가장 길어질 것이다. 흥미로운 사실 하나: 지구에서 춘분은 태양이 정동쪽으로 떠서 정서쪽으로 지는 단 두 번뿐인 시기이다! 태양이 머리 위를 지날 때 지구의 기울기는 태양에 대해 0이다. 즉, 지구의 자전축은 태양을 향하거나 태양에서 멀어지지 않는다. ☀️"춘분(Equinox)"은 무슨 뜻인가요?

춘분(春分)이라는 단어는 라틴어로 "밤과 낮의 길이가 같다"를 뜻하는 aequus(에쿠스; 같다)와 nox(녹스; 밤)에서 유래했다. 춘분에는 세계 모든 지역에서 낮과 밤의 길이가 거의 같다.
