전설(傳說)의 골목길
A Legendary Alleyway

그 어릴 적 민들레꽃처럼 순박한 친구들
숨바꼭질하고
고무줄넘기하던 골목길
해지면 꼬리 아홉달린 전설의 구미호가
나올까 가슴조이던 그 골목길에
 
어느 때는 수많은 밤하늘의 별빛들이
오종종 모여 살더니
 
또 어느 때는 하늘에서 떨어진 달빛들이
굴러들어가더니
 
또 한 때는 새마을노래가 흘러가더니
훤한 전등불빛들이 골목길을 점령했네
 
골목길에 구멍가게가 들어서더니
점포가 서고
선술집 목로에서
젓가락장단이 흥겹게 흘러나오더니
   
추억이 농해 골목길이 "뻥" 터지더니
과거는 흔적도 없고 그 자리 그 곳에
세월들이 고층 아파트를 올려놓았네

........

Those childhood friends who were as pure as dandelions
We played hide and seek,
Playing jump rope.

Wonder if the legendary nine-tailed fox at sunset comes out
In the alleyway?
I was tightening my heart.

Sometimes, the stars in the night sky lived together
And sometimes the moonlight falling from the sky was rolling in the alley
When Saemaeul's song played
The electric light has taken over the alleyway

There was a mom-and-pop store in the alley
The stores stand.
At the tavern's idyllic store
Pular-songs tuned by the chopsticks came out excitedly

Abundant memories are overflowing.
The alleyways burst into laughter
There's no trace of the past.
At the legendary alleways
Times built high story apartment buildings

어둠이 내려 앉으면
골목길 숨바꼭질 깡통차기에 밤이 깊어가고
고무줄 놀이하는 여자 아이들 고무줄 칼로 자르고
좋아하던 그 시절
지붕개량에 마을 안길 넓히기
새마을 깃발 아래 모여 신작로 청소하기
그때가 그립습니다
전기가 처음 들어오던 날
신천지가 따로 없었지요
잠시 그때 그 시절로 돌아가 봅니다
제 고향집은 어느 아파트 주차장 아래
잠들어있습니다

여아들의 고무줄을 칼로 자르다니요
동네 가구장이 였군요
골목길에서 깡통차기 구슿치기했던기억이 그립네요

그 옛날의 골목길
저희도 부산서는 골목길 안에 살았답니다
저를 보고 어느 남학생이 쫓아오는 바람에
혼비백산한 적도 있고
집에 와서 엉엉 울어대니
어마마마께서 깜짝 놀라셔서
저를 달래주던 기억이 납니다

골목길이 정다운 길이 되어야지요
남학생이 예쁘다고 손을 잡이주려고 뛰어오면 반가워야지요.
저는 어릴 때
도깨비나
귀신이 나올까 밤길이면 무서웠답니다

There were no equipment to play with
in the ashes of the Korean War, so girls played rubber bands and pebbles(콩돌 놀이?), and boys played marbles(구슬치기)
It's a miracle for such a country.
I think chiltrens are so happy right now

Golmook-gil disappeared and a high-rise apartment buildings were built there.
The big roads were built and there's cars running on it

A miracle has happened in Korea.
No country can ignore Korea.

May is the Queen's season and the Rose's season.
It's the month of the 5.16 Revolution.
Rose bloomed on the ground of the ruins.
