Welcome to the Korea Mountaineering Guide Association (KMGA).

The Association conducts business in the following three categories:

1. Climbing Guide Services

2. Climbing Instruction/Lessons

3. Guide Certification Exam

1. Climbing Guide Services

1) Overview

• We lead individuals who have already learned climbing into practical, real-world climbing.

• You can follow the schedule pre-announced on the <Daily Climbing Guide> bulletin board.

• Alternatively, you can request a specific route on a date of your choosing.

2) Guide Fees and Group Size Limits

2. Climbing Instruction

1) Beninners Course

• Target Audience: Those with no multi-pitch climbing experience who wish to start the sport.

• Duration: Every Saturday, total of 5 sessions (approx. 8 hours per day).

• Start Dates: Early April / Early September each year (Twice yearly).

• Group Size: Limited to 4 people per class (with 3 instructors).

• Tuition Fee: 700,000 KRW

• Curriculum Includes: Knot tying, top-roping belaying, multi-pitch belaying, self-rescue/self-lowering techniques, basic climbing techniques for the three rock disciplines, rope handling, and more.

• Application: Apply according to the notices posted on the Association's bulletin board when the recruitment is announced.

2) Intermediate, Advanced, and Leader Courses

• Target Audience: Individuals who have completed the introductory course and wish to further advance their climbing skills or experience.

• Duration: Approximately 4 sessions, duration may vary depending on the course concept.

• Start Dates & Days: Check the notices posted on the bulletin board for scheduling.

• Group Size: Limited to 2 people per class.

• Tuition Fee: 700,000 KRW or more (May vary depending on the course concept).
