[디카시 OC]

  디카시는  순간 포착의 사진에 촌철살인 시 몇 행을 부가하는 새로운 한류 문예 장르입니다. 더불어 SNS 매체 환경을 활용하여 전 세계로 실시간 소통할 수 있는, 영상문화가 대세인 이 시대에 최적화된 문학 형식이기도 합니다.

우리 협회는 한국의 한국디카시인협회 산하 미국 오렌지카운티 지부입니다. 

한국디카시인협회는 현재 김종회 회장님을 중심으로 10개의 국내지부와 10개의 국내 지회, 그리고 30개의 해외지부가 함께 활동을 하고 있습니다. 

미주에는 LA, SF, NY, DC, Chicago, Seattle, Dalas, Texas, Athlanta, Orange County에 지부가 있으며  Bellflower 지회가 있습니다. 

  본 지부는 2025년 10월 11일에 창단식을 가지고 창작과 교류, 문화적 연결을 목표로 출범하여,  문인뿐 아니라 사진가, 예술가, 일반인 모두가 참여할 수 있는 열린 예술 공동체로 자리 매김 하고자 합니다.  모든 회원들은 곧 이 공동체의 동반자이며, 디카시의 미래를 함께 만들어 갈 주역입니다.

  짧은 문장과 한 장의 사진이 사람의 마음을 움직이고 세대와 문화를 잇는 다리가 될 수 있음을 우리는 잘 알고 있습니다. 앞으로 우리 지부는 작품 창작, 세미나, 전시회, 교육 프로그램 등 다양한 활동을 통해 디카시의 예술적 가치를 함께 확장해 나갈 뿐 아니라,  우리의 2세들도 영어로 시를 쓰며 함께 참여시켜  K-food. K-pop. K-drama 등에 이어 또 다른 K-culture도 만들어 나갈 것입니다.

Dica-Poetry is a new Korean Wave (Hallyu) literary genre that pairs a moment-capturing photograph with a few incisive poetic lines. It is a literary form optimized for today’s visual culture, particularly in the era of social media, allowing real-time communication and sharing across the world.

Our chapter is the Orange County, USA branch operating under the Korea Dica-Poet Association.

The Korea Dica-Poet Association, led by President Jonghoe Kim, currently consists of 10 domestic branches, 10 domestic sub-chapters, and 30 overseas branches.
In the United States, there are chapters in LA, San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, Texas, Atlanta, and Orange County, as well as a sub-chapter in Bellflower.

Our chapter held its Inauguration Ceremony on October 11, 2025, and was launched with the goal of fostering creativity, cultural exchange, and artistic connection. We aim to establish an inclusive artistic community open not only to literary writers, but also to photographers, artists, and the general public. Every member is a valued partner in this community and a key contributor to shaping the future of Dica-Poetry.

We firmly believe that a short poem paired with a single image has the power to move hearts and become a bridge connecting generations and cultures. Looking ahead, our chapter will continue to expand the artistic value of Dica-Poetry through creative works, seminars, exhibitions, and educational programs. Furthermore, we plan to involve our second-generation youth by encouraging them to write Dica-Poetry in English, so that—following the global success of K-Food, K-Pop, and K-Drama—we may together cultivate another influential K-Culture movement.
