너는 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 이 사십 년 동안 광야에서 너를 인도하신 그 모든 길을 기억할지니 이것은 그분께서 너를 낮추시며 너를

신8:1 너희는 내가 이 날 네게 명령하는 모든 명령을 지켜 행하라. 그리하면 너희가 살고 번성하며 {주}께서 너희 조상들에게 맹세하신 땅에 들어가 그것을 소유하리라.
신8:1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.

신8:2 너는 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 이 사십 년 동안 광야에서 너를 인도하신 그 모든 길을 기억할지니 이것은 그분께서 너를 낮추시며 너를 시험하사 네 마음속에 무엇이 있는지 또 네가 그분의 명령을 지키려 하는지 그렇지 아니한지 알고자 하심이라.
신8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

신8:3 그분께서 너를 낮추시며 주리게 하시고 또 너도 알지 못하며 네 조상들도 알지 못하던 만나를 네게 먹이신 것은 사람이 빵으로만 살지 아니하고 {주}의 입에서 나오는 모든 말씀으로 사는 줄을 네가 알게 하려 하심이니라.
신8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

신8:4 이 사십 년 동안 네가 입은 옷이 해어지지 아니하였고 네 발이 붓지 아니하였느니라.
신8:4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

신8:5 또 너는 사람이 자기 아들을 징계하듯 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 너를 징계하심을 마음속 깊이 생각할지니라.
신8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

신8:6 그러므로 너는 {주} 네 [하나님]의 명령들을 지켜 그분의 길들로 걷고 그분을 두려워할지니라.
신8:6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

신8:7 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 좋은 땅으로 너를 데려가시는데 그곳은 물 시내가 있고 골짜기와 산에서 흘러나오는 샘과 깊은 곳이 있는 땅이요,
신8:7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;

신8:8 밀과 보리와 포도와 무화과나무와 석류가 나는 땅이며 기름 올리브와 꿀이 나는 땅이니라.
신8:8 A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;

신8:9 또 그곳은 네가 먹을 빵이 부족하지 않은 땅이요, 네게 아무것도 모자라지 않을 땅이며 그 땅의 돌은 쇠요, 네가 그곳의 산에서 놋을 캐리라.
신8:9 A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

신8:10 네가 먹어 배부르게 될 때에 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네게 주신 좋은 땅으로 인해 그분을 찬송하리라.
신8:10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

신8:11 너는 내가 이 날 네게 명령하는 그분의 명령과 판단의 법도와 법규를 지키지 아니함으로 {주} 네 [하나님]을 잊어버리지 아니하도록 조심할지어다.
신8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

신8:12 네가 먹어 배부르게 되고 좋은 집을 짓고 그 안에 거하며
신8:12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;

신8:13 또 네 소 떼와 양 떼가 번성하고 네 은금이 크게 늘어나며 네 모든 소유가 크게 늘어날 때에
신8:13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;

신8:14 네 마음이 교만하여 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]을 잊어버릴까 염려하노라. 그분께서는 너를 이집트 땅 속박의 집에서 데리고 나오시며
신8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

신8:15 너를 인도하사 그 크고 무서운 광야 곧 불 뱀과 전갈과 가뭄이 있고 물이 없는 땅을 지나게 하시고 또 너를 위하여 부싯돌 반석에서 물을 내셨으며
신8:15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

신8:16 네 조상들이 알지 못하던 만나로 광야에서 너를 먹이셨나니 이것은 그분께서 너를 낮추시며 너를 시험하사 너의 마지막 끝에 네게 선을 행하려 하심이었느니라.
신8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

신8:17 또 네가 마음속으로 이르기를, 내 능력과 내 손의 힘으로 내가 이 재물을 얻었다, 할까 염려하노라.
신8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

신8:18 오직 너는 {주} 네 [하나님]을 기억하라. 네게 재물 얻을 능력을 주시는 분이 곧 그분이시니 이것은 그분께서 네 조상들에게 맹세하신 자신의 언약을 이 날과 같이 굳게 세우려 하심이니라.
신8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

신8:19 네가 만일 {주} 네 [하나님]을 완전히 잊어버리고 다른 신들을 따라 걸으며 그들을 섬기고 그들에게 경배하면 내가 이 날 너희에게 증언하노니 너희가 반드시 멸망할 것이니라.
신8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

신8:20 {주}께서 너희 얼굴 앞에서 멸하시는 민족들같이 너희도 멸망하리니 이는 너희가 {주} 너희 [하나님]의 음성에 순종하려 하지 아니하기 때문이니라.
신8:20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
