Fishig boat were overthrew, 3 rescued, 6 missing
9 missing crew members of a fishing boat capsized off the coast of Yokjido island, Tongyeong, South Korea were under rescue. 3 of them were rescued, 6 were untill missing.
All 3 workers were found unconscious.
9 workers werer consisted of 2 Korean sailots inculding captain, and 7 indonesian sailors.
The ship formed a fleet with one other ship and left Hallim Port in Jeju Island at 10:36 a.m. on the 7th and was operating in the waters of Yokjido Island.
One of the fleet informed the Jeju Fishing Boat Safety and Fishing Bureau at 6:02 a.m. that it was unable to contact the ship in question, and at 6:43 a.m., it was confirmed that the ship in question was floating upside down.
The Coast Guard said that the weather conditions in the accident area did not interfere with the rescue and search.
South Korea ranks last among OECD countries in 'glass ceiling index'
In the "Glass-ceiling index" released by the Economist, a British weekly magazine, Korea ranked 29th out of 29 countries surveyed. A low index means that working women's environment is generally poor.
11 countries, including Britain ranked 19th, Greece, Germany, the U.S., the Netherlands, Hungary and Israel, fell below the OECD average. Switzerland (26th), Japan (27th) and Turkiye (28th) have been at the bottom along with Korea for several years.
According to Korean indicators, the income gap between men and women was 31.1%, the lowest since last year. Women's labor participation rate was 17.2%p lower than that of men, ranking 27th after Turkiye and Italy.
Both the ratio of female managers in management and the ratio of female directors in the company ranked 28th, ranking second behind. In addition, the ratio of female directors in companies was 33% on average in the OECD, but only 12.8% in Korea.
