Not only for dawn class, but also in NPR class this week, Dr.tcho shared the story about Othani Shohei, the most famous baseball player currently. What I can apply from Shohei is his humble mind and practice. Despite representing the highest reputation in the world, he always bends over to pick trash on the ground even when he hits homers. What's more, he considers fallen trash as a luck or merit that someone left behind, thinking they gave me an opportunity. It greatly moved my mind. I can tell why he is the world's best player. Picking up trash is never hard. Anybody can do this. But people rarely do that, meaning that they miss the chance to lower themselves and plant merit. That is something I, with a rigid and straight waist, need to work on. This simple action holds great meaning, encompassing humility, giving mind and humility. This week’s practice seems to be clearly decided.
