Before the meeting started, I was super nervous because it was my very first time talking directly with foreigners. A lot of worried thoughts kept going through my mind. However, once the meeting actually began and I started talking with the American college students, I found myself smiling a lot without even realizing it.
As we listened to their presentations and I finished presenting my own part, we naturally started talking about our daily lives. I even taught them a few simple Korean words, and it was so fun hearing them try to pronounce those words! Through all these conversations, I surprisingly realized that we actually share so many things in common despite coming from different countries.
By the end of the meeting, they really felt like true friends rather than strangers. This experience made me look forward to our next meeting even more, and I really hope we can become much closer next time!
