Completing the second self-introduction assignment was a truly meaningful and enriching experience for me. Preparing this presentation gave me a valuable opportunity to look back on myself and think deeply about how to express who I am in English. Unlike standard, brief introductions, this task required me to expand my story much further. I included details about my unique personality, my loving family, precious friends, favorite music, movies, dramas, and even the idols, actors, and daily apps I enjoy using. Gathering all these personal stories and translating my thoughts into natural English was quite challenging at first. I had to pay close attention to choosing the right vocabulary and maintaining proper sentence structures so that my ideas would be communicated clearly. Practice was key to ensuring my speech flowed naturally within the 10-minute timeframe. While recording the Zoom meeting and taking the required screenshots to verify the start and end times, I felt a slight sense of nerves. However, as I continued speaking, I gradually gained more confidence in using English to express my identity. Through this process, I realized that introducing myself in detail is not just about sharing basic facts, but about organizing my thoughts and sharing my values and personal interests with others. Structuring the presentation slides, uploading the final PPT to the Daum Cafe board on time, and reviewing my own recorded video allowed me to see both my strengths and areas where I can improve my English speaking skills. Overall, this assignment boosted my confidence in English communication and motivated me to keep challenging myself in future language activities.
