포트무디 청소년 교향악단은

캐나다 밴쿠버에 포트무디 city 를 활동기반으로 하는 청소년 교향악단입니다. 대부분이 한국 교포나 유학생들이고 외국 학생들도 있습니다. 이곳으로 어렸을 때 이민을 왔거나하는 한국아이들도 거의 외국 아이들처럼 한국어를 못합니다. 하지만 한국 친구들과 어울리다 보면 조금씩 한국어가 늘고 어느정도는 알아듣기도 합니다.  한국 학생들이 멘토도 되고 멘티도 되어서 서로 잘 어울려지냅니다.  음악을 통해 청소년시기를 보람되게 보낼 수 있고 또 한국아이의 정통성을 찾는데 일조를 하기위해 창단을 했습니다. 이곳의 한국 행사에도 참가해서 연주하고 또한 외국 행사에도 가서 여기에서 우리만이 한국 곡을 할 수 있다는 자부심으로 연주도 합니다. 한국에서도 많이 응원해주세요. ^^

The Port Moody Youth Symphony Orchestra (PMYSO) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the promotion of greater awareness,, PMYSO supports young musicians in multicultural communities, fostering emotional sensitivity and responsibility. Students serve as role models, promotes musicianship and

 community building.

Mission and Programs

#Promotes awareness, understanding, and cooperation between students and the community.

#Arranges programs for discussion and exchanges on community interests.

#Offers educational resources and cultural programs.

#Hosts musical performances and concerts.

#Organized the Canada Virtuoso Young Artist Music Competition in 2023.

#Annual orchestral music camp during spring break for skill development and camaraderie.

#We have an annual concert, Christmas concert, and invitational concert
