Penang State EXCO for Tourism Development, YB Danny Law Heng Kiang will be leading a trip to Yangon, Myanmar from 31st March to 2nd April, 2016. The delegation consists of representatives and doctors from various hospitals and colleges in Penang under the umbrella of Penang Centre of Education Tourism (PCET) and Penang Centre of Medical Tourism (PMED) chaired by Dr Mary Ann Harris. This main objective is to support Air Asia inaugural direct flight to connect Penang to Yangon. This new route had a flight frequency of three times weekly on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, its operation was commenced on 22 March 2016.
에어아시아가 주 3회 '페낭-양군, 미얀마' 의 운항을 3월 22일부터 시작했습니다....페낭주정부는 '관광, 의료, 교육'을 목적으로 3월 31일부터 4월2일까지 대규모단을 이끌고 양군을 방문합니다.
In addition to that, this trip also aims to meet with the tourism industry players in Yangon, Myanmar. Despite independent travellers, YB Danny aims to boost medical tourism and education tourism in Penang, hoping to bring a stable tourist arrival to Penang. There will be talks on explaining why seek medical treatment in Penang and also introducing higher education opportunities in Penang, then followed with business-to-business meetings to further discuss about details in working together.
