God is the one who works all things together for good. In today's text, the Lord says blessed are the poor in spirit, theirs is the kingdom of heaven, blessed are those who mourn, blessed are the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, the righteous. He says that those who are persecuted for His sake are blessed. He also says that you are the salt of the earth, and that the Lord did not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets, but to fulfill them, and that whoever is angry with his brother will be judged, and whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her. I thank the Lord for illuminating me with the truth.
