 Section 3 Dan(段 단- Steps) : Chung(忠 충,- Loyalty)... Loyalty... Chapter 77.
  
忠(충)은 임금이 자신을 알아주는 義(의)로움에 감응하여 정성을 다하여
道學(도학)을 궁구하여 天理(천리)로서 임금에게 보답하는 일이다.
"Chung(忠,충)" is the act of a subject being deeply moved by the monarch′s
 righteousness in recognizing his worth, devoting his utmost sincerity,
 thouroughly studying the orthodox learning(Dohak),
 and repaying the monarch in accordancr with the heavenly Orinciple(Cheonli).

忠者는 感君知己之義하여 (충자는 감군지기지의하여)
 "Loyalty(忠,충) means being moved by the righteousness of the
   monarch who recognizes one′s true worth,"

盡誠意하며 窮道學하여 (진성의하며 궁도학하여)
 "Exerting one′s utmist sincerity and intent,
   and exhaustively researching the learning of the Dao,"

以天理로 事君而報答也하느니라. (이천리로 사군이보답야하느니라.)
 "Thereby serving the monarch and repaying them in accordance
 with the Heavenly principle."


 [Commentary Translation, 풀이]

忠(충)이라는 단어는 中(중)+心(심)으로 구성되어 있다.
 The word "Chung(忠,충)" is composed of "Let′s say, Jung(中 중,- Center)"
 and "Sim(心 심 - Heart/Mind)."

즉 "中央(중앙)으로 향하는 마음" 이다.
 Inotherwords,itmeans"a mind directed toward the center."

여기서 중앙이란 태풍의 눈이며 하늘의 北極星(북극성)과 같이  우주 삼라만상의 중심을 말한다.
 Here, the "center" refers to the core of all creation in the universe,
 much like the eye of a typhoon or the Pole Star(North Star) in the heavens.

이는 天符經(천부경)의 一積十鉅圖(일적십거도)의 중앙 36궁을 나타내며
백두산에서 首出庶物(수출서물) 즉 開天(개천)을 이룩하여 64民(민)의 366事(사)를 다스린
桓雄(한웅)할아버지와 그 후계자인 君(군)에게 향하는 마음이라 할 수 있다.
 This represents the central 36 palaces of the II-jeok-sip-geo-do(일적십거도)"
 in the Cheonbugyeong(天符經,천부경).
 It can be described as the mind directed toward Grandfather Hwanung ― who
 achieved the opening of heaven(Gacheon) from Mount Baekdu and governed
 the 366 affairs of the 64 peoples ― and toward his successor, the monarch(Goon).

桓雄(한웅)할아버지와 그 후계자는 모든 부모의 보모이니
孝(효)와 忠(충)은 그 개념의 출발이 같은 것이다.
 Since Grandfather Hwanung and his successors are the parents,
 Filial Piety(Hyo) and Loyalty(Chung) share the exact same conceptual origin.
