EIS Mini Science Fair 2018

The ever diligent and enthusiastic G8 and G9 students organised a mini Science Fair last 7,8 and 14 May 2018 through spectacular exhibitions and interactive demonstrations as part of their coursework requirement in Science and Physics. This exciting event was held at the EIS laboratory open area in the secondary block, with seventeen projects exhibited and shown. There were ten displays from G8 and seven displays from G9 students.

성실하고 열정적인 8학년, 9학년 학생들이 ' Mini Science Fair 2018'을 개최했습니다.  과학과 물리에서 그들의 코스에 따라  극적인 전시회와 상호작용을 보여줬습니다.  이 흥미로운 이벤트는 EIS 실험실 근처에서 17가지 프로젝트를 보여줬습니다. 8학년은 10가지, 9학년은 7가지의 멋진 실험을 보여주었답니다.

The objectives of this mini Science Fair are...:

• to focus application of scientific knowledge and experiences in the science classroom. 신청자들의 과학적인 지식과 경험에 중점을 두고
• to stimulate interest in doing a scientific investigation beyond routine classroom work.  수업 외의 과학적인 조사와 흥미를  고무시키고
• to recognise and commend young scientific talent and hobby pursuits.  과학적인 재능과 취미를 장려하고
• to offer an opportunity for display of scientific talent through exhibits and interactive demonstrations. 전시와 상호작용을 보여줌을 통하여 과학적인 재능과 기회를 제공하고

Early years and primary students as well as some parents have visited the fair and were able to learn from the students’ displays. Students were able to answer questions comprehensively from parents, students and teachers about their projects. The students have also enhanced their skills in time management, learned to conduct their own experiments and most importantly, they learned to stand confidently in front of their own exhibits to share their work, ideas and research with others.

유치원과 초등생들, 그리고 학부모님들이 참가하여 전시한 것을 보며 많은 것을 배울 수 있었습니다....학생들은 질문에 성실히 대답하고 그들의 프로젝트가 선생님과 함께 이룬 것을 자랑스럽게 여기며 과학이 얼마나 즐거운 것인지, 생활속의 과학을 모두와 함께 나누었습니다.

This Science Fair has been an enormous success and hopefully an even bigger one next year!

과학박람회는 아주 성공적이었고 내년에는 더 큰 이벤트가 되기를 희망합니다.
