CLEVELAND (Ticker) - Looking to add frontcourt depth, the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday signed Scott Williams.

Terms were not disclosed.
<br>

After losing free agent power forward Carlos Boozer in the offseason, the Cavaliers acquired Drew Gooden in a trade with Orlando and signed free agent Robert "Tractor" Traylor. The addition of Williams, who can play power forward and center, adds to the depth.

"Scott will be a valuable contributor for us on the court and to our team in the locker room," Cavaliers general manager Jim Paxson said. "He helps solidify our frontcourt rotation and gives us another proven winner. His insight and experience will be a tremendous asset to our team."

A member of three championship teams with the Chicago Bulls early in his career, Williams will be joining his seventh team.

Last season, the 35-year-old Williams played for the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks, but had two stints on the injured list due to back spasms and thumb surgery. He averaged 4.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in 43 games.

A 14-year veteran, Williams has career averages of 5.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in 727 games with Chicago, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Denver, Phoenix and Dallas.
