1>Jesus, who preached the gospel of God's kingdom, the heavenly heavenSummary>
Matthew 4:23. 2026.10.25. <Sunday> Pastor Kim Ho-il of Osaka Sarang Community Church.
Jesus came to this earth and focused on three things.
1> Teach the Bible.
2> Proclaim the gospel of heaven. 3>He healed all diseases and weakness. Therefore, we must understand why Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom. It means that you must enter heaven because heaven clearly exists. And what kind of place is heaven. You explained it in an easy-to-understand way using the metaphor of heaven. Heaven is God's kingdom. The Gospel. Jesus. It also meant church. John the Baptist proclaimed that the kingdom of heaven was near, emphasizing that Jesus was the kingdom.
And Jesus said, “The time has come, and the kingdom of God has come; repent and believe the good news.” (Mark 1:15). It means that the Messiah has come, so repent and believe in the gospel-messianic figure. You must repent and believe. Repentance means changing one’s mind; when you first confess your faith in Jesus, you must change your mindset and resolve to no longer serve the devil, but instead accept Jesus as your King, your Master, and Savior, and serve Him. And now, we believe, having resolved to live in obedience, confess our sins, and cut off them.
If you neglect sin, you are not one who truly believes. If you have sinned, you must repent quickly. But why did he speak in parables. The secret of heaven was granted to those who believed, but not to those who did not. Because unbelievers neither see nor understand. Because heaven is an eternal realm, we can only realize it by accepting it through faith. The reason Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom is that, having come from the kingdom, He knew it in detail. If Jesus had not introduced the kingdom of heaven, no matter who explained it, people would not have believed.
Jesus said, “I must preach the gospel of the kingdom of God in other towns, for I have been sent on this mission” (Luke 4:43). Jesus was born on this earth to proclaim the Kingdom of God to the world. It certainly means that heaven exists. So I will introduce how Jesus preached the kingdom of heaven, focusing on the Scriptures. The focus is on helping them understand and believe that Jesus explained the kingdom of heaven in this way.
1 <Mark 4:26-29> The kingdom of God is like a man who sowed seed in the ground; while he is sleeping and awake, the seed sprouts and grows. The earth produces its own fruit, at first a shoot. Next is Isaac. Next is grain. I said that we will harvest when the fruit ripens. These are the first words Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God. If you sow a seed in the ground, it will sprout and grow while the seed is sleeping and waking. The earth allows itself to sprout and grow, bearing fruit. At first, it's a sprout.
Next is Isaac. Next is bearing fruit, and when the fruit ripens, it is harvested. This means that because the kingdom of God is the gospel, when we preach the gospel, it grows and bears fruit without us even realizing it, and when the fruit ripens, we reap the harvest. I explained that the gospel is the Kingdom of God, and the gospel is Jesus. Therefore, we must proclaim Jesus with zeal.
2 <Maccabees 4:30-32> How is the kingdom of God described? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which is smaller than all other seed when sown, but after it is sown it grows into a tree, so that the birds of the air will nest in its branches.
3><Matthew 13:24-30.>The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; while the people were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds. So they grow together until harvest. In heaven, we must welcome Jesus as our King, Lord, and Savior, and obey Him |
