셋째는 주관성(主管性)을 전도(顚倒)하는 것이다. 인간의 주관을 받아야 할 천사가 거꾸로 해와를 주관하였고, 또 아담의 주관을 받아야 할 해와가 거꾸로 아담을 주관하게 된 데서 타락의 결과가 생겼던 것이다. 이와 같이 자기의 위치를 떠나서 주관성을 전도하는 데서부터 인간사회의 질서는 문란(紊亂)해지게 되는데, 이것은 모두 이러한 타락성본성에서 일어나는 것이다.

넷째는 범죄행위(犯罪行爲)를 번식하는 것이다. 만일 해와가 타락한 후에 자기의 범죄를 아담에게 번식시키지 않았더라면 아담은 타락되지 않았을 것이므로, 해와만의 복귀는 용이(容易)했을 것이었다. 그러나 해와는 이와 반대로 자기의 죄를 아담에게도 번식시켜 그를 타락케 하였다. 악인(惡人)들이 동료를 번식시키려는 성품은 이와 같은 타락성본성에서부터 일어나는 것이다.

제5절 자유와 타락

Ⅰ. 자유의 원리적 의의

자유(自由)에 대한 원리적인 성격을 논할 때, 첫째로 우리는 원리(原理)를 벗어난 자유는 없다고 하는 사실을 알아야 한다. 그리고 자유라고 하는 것은 자유의지(自由意志)와 그에 따르는 자유행동(自由行動)을 일괄하여 표현한 말이다. 전자와 후자는 성상(性相)과 형상(形狀)과의 관계와 같아서, 이것이 합하여서만 완전한 자유가 성립된다.

第三は、主管性を転倒するということである。人間の主管を受けるべき天使が、逆にエバを主管し、またアダムの主管を受けるべきエバが、逆にアダムを主管するようになったところから、堕落の結果が生じたのである。このように自己の位置を離れて、主管性を転倒するところから、人間社会の秩序が乱れるのであるが、これは、すべてこのような堕落性本性から生ずるのである。

第四は、犯罪行為を繁殖することである。もし、エバが堕落したのち、自分の罪をアダムに繁殖させなかったならば、アダムは堕落しなかったであろうし、エバだけの復帰ならば、これは容易であったはずである。しかし、エバはこれとは反対に、自分の罪をアダムにも繁殖させ、アダムをも堕落させてしまった。悪人たちがその仲間を繁殖させようとする思いも、このような堕落性本性から生ずる思いなのである。

第五節 自由と堕落


（一）自由の原理的意義

自由に対する原理的な性格を論ずるとき、第一に、我々は、原理を離れた自由はない、という事実を知らなければならない。そして、自由とは、自由意志とこれに従う自由行動とを一括して表現した言葉なのである。前者と後者とは、性相と形状との関係にあり、これが一体となって初めて完全な自由が成立する。

The third is reversing dominion. The angel, who was supposed to come under the dominion of human beings, instead dominated Eve. Then Eve, who was supposed to come under the dominion of Adam, dominated him instead. This disruption of the proper order has borne bitter fruit. Human society is thrown out of order by people who leave their proper position and then reverse the order of dominion. These repeated occurrences are rooted in this primary characteristic of the fallen nature.
 
The fourth is multiplying the criminal act. After her fall, had Eve not repeated her sin by seducing Adam, Adam would have remained whole. The restoration of Eve alone would have been relatively easy. However, Eve spread her sin to others by inducing Adam to fall. The proclivity of evil people to entangle others in an expanding web of crime stems from this primary characteristic of the fallen nature.

Section 5. Freedom and the Human Fall


5.1 The Meaning of Freedom from the Viewpoint of the Principle


What is the meaning of true freedom? In light of the Principle, three characteristics of freedom stand out.


 First, there is no freedom outside the Principle. Freedom requires both free will and the free actions pursuant to that will. The former and the latter have the relationship of internal nature and external form, and perfect freedom is achieved when they are in harmony.
