드뎌 우리 월요일 스터디가 300회를 맞이 하였습니다.

리더 한번 안바뀌고 300번이라는 횟수를

채웠으니,,, 기네스북 등재라도 한번 요청해 볼까요??

그간 함께 했던 많은 분들의 얼굴이

주마등처럼 스쳐 갑니다~!!

6년이라는 짧지 않은 시간 동안,

많은 이들과 좋은 인연 맺게 해준,,,

이 공간을 저 역시도 많이 사랑 합니다.

제가 언제까지

이 공간에서 여러분들과 함께 할수 있을지는 모르겠지만,

같이 있은 동안 만큼은 늘 최선을 다하리라

다짐해 봅니다.

Topic1. School teaches baby orangutans survival skills   <8;20~9;00>

  Baby orangutans in Indonesia are going to school to learn skills like finding food and making a nest. The school hopes the skills the young apes learn will mean they can be reintroduced into the wild and survive on their own. The school was set up by International Animal Rescue (IAR). There are currently 102 orangutans living at the centre. A spokesperson said: "We are committed to rescuing and rehabilitating as many orangutans as we can and giving them a second chance to live safely in their natural environment." Not all of them attend the school because some have suffered long-term injuries so they can never go back to the forest. It could take up to eight years to get others ready to return to the wild.

The IAR centre cares for animals that have been rescued from the wild. Some of the baby orangutans lost their parents because of illegal poaching, habitat loss and forest fires. The IAR said they "are suffering and dying because of the systematic destruction of the rainforest, primarily for palm oil production". Other baby orangutans have been stolen from their mothers to be sold as pets. There are also adult orangutans at the centre. These have spent most of their lives in captivity. The World Wildlife Fund estimates there are around 45,000 to 69,000 orangutans in Borneo, but their numbers are decreasing because their forests are being destroyed by illegal logging and palm oil companies

Topic2. What life will be like in 2116   <9;10~9;50>

   A new report shows what life might be like in 100 years from now. It describes skyscrapers that are much taller than today's buildings, underwater 'bubble' cities, and holidays in space. The report is from Samsung's SmartThings. It asked experts on space, architecture, and city planners to give their ideas on life in 2116. They said the way we live, work and play will be totally different to how we do these things today. The experts said that 25 years ago, people could not imagine how the Internet and smartphones would change our lives. The Internet has revolutionised the way we communicate, learn and do daily things. The experts said the changes in the next century would be even more unbelievable.
Researchers questioned 2,000 adults about the predictions they thought were most likely to happen in the future. They predicted that in the future, few people will go to an office but will work from home and have virtual work meetings. People will have advanced 3D printers that will let you download a design for furniture or a food recipe and then 'print' the sofa, table or pizza at home. There will also be less need for visits to the doctor. We will all have a home health capsule that will tell us what the problem is and give us treatment. We will also be going into space for holidays and to get resources that we have used up on Earth. A prediction that was missing was whether people would still need to study English.

 - 마이존엔 초급과 중급이 나뉘어져 open class로 운영되고 있습니다.(정원제가 아니라는 뜻입니다^^)

     그러나, 별다른 인터뷰도 없고 오로지 본인의 판단만으로 반을 결정해야 하는 문제점이 있네요..

     초급과 중급사이에서 모호함을 느끼는 분들~은 초중급반에서 부터 마이존 경험을 시작해 보세요.

     색다른 즐거움과 motivation이 기다리고 있습니다.

    우리반은 매주 신입멤버를 모집합니다.

      스터디가 끝난 후엔 친목도모 혹은 허기를 달래고자 하는 목적으로 거의 매주 개더링이 이뤄집니다.

           한시간 남짓한 시간이 가져다 주는 활력과 즐거움을 이루 표현할 수가 없네요 ㅎㅎ

 참여대상은?

  - 기본적인 생활영어 표현이 가능하신 분들 (본인소개,취미,미래의 꿈등 가벼운 주제의 토론에 큰 어려움이 없으신 분들)

  - 초급 10pass member ,중급 10pass member 모두 참석 가능합니다.

  - 예습 없이도 topic을 5분이내에 파악하실 정도의 능력은 되셔야 겠죠?!

  Topic 과 참여방법

  - 토픽은 스터디 3일전(금요일)까지 게시판에 Upload 됩니다.

  - 참여는 게시판에 매주 게시되는 모임공지에 꼬리말을 다시고 스터디 당일 마이존 현장에 와서 pass를

    구입하시면 됩니다.

  - 참여 댓글을 달지 않고 참여하시면 토픽 hand out을 100원에 구매하셔야 하니, 번거로우시더라도 반드시  참여댓글을 다셔야 합니다.

  - 패스는 한달 4회<우리반만 사용> 이용하실수 있는 Monthly pass를 구매하시거나 10times pass를 구입하시고 참여하시면 됩니다.
