  제 22 장  화 법  (Narration)
 

 ※ 화법이란?
   다른 사람의 말이나 생각을 전달하는 표현 방법으로, 직접 화법과 간접 화법이 있다.
     직접화법 - 들은 내용을 (“”)을 써서 그대로 전달하는 방법.
     간접화법 - 들은 내용을 전달하는 입장에서 적당히 바꿔서 전달하는 방법.
He said to me, “ I am happy.” (직접화법)
He told me that he was happy. (간접화법)

1. 화법 전환 방법
  1) 전달동사 변화 
2) 인용부호 (“   “)를 없애고 알맞은 접속사 사용.
3) 인칭변화

  1인칭 : 2인칭 : 3인칭 :   전달문의 주어와 일치 전달문의 목적어와 일치 그대로 

시제변화 - 주절의 시제가 과거일 때

  현재                           → 과거  2과거, 현재완료                → 과거완료  과거완료                       → 그대로     

5 ) 시간부사, 장소부사의 변화
     
직 접 화 법  간 접 화 법 
this here now ago today tomorrow  yesterday  → → → → → →  → that there then before that day the next day the following day the day before the previous day 
 
2. 평서문

 직 접 화 법  간 접 화 법 
1 전달동사  2 전달동사를 없애고  say say to → → → say tell that을 사용 
 
        He said, “ I am happy now.”
        → He said that he was happy then.
      (1) He said, ‘This boy is very smart.”
         → _____________________________________.
(2) I said to Mi-na, “ I like your house.”
   → _____________________________________.

3. 의문문
직 접 화 법  간 접 화 법 
1 say (to) 2 say (to)를 없애고  ask 의문사가 있는 의문문 : 의문사 S + V  의문사가 없는 의문문 : if(whether) + S + V 

He said to me, ‘Where do you like?”
→ He asked me where I lived.
He said to me, ‘Is this your book?”
→ ___________________________________________
He said to me, “ What can I do for you?”
→ __________________________________________

4. 의문문
 
직 접 화 법  간 접 화 법 
3 say (to)    4 say (to)를 없애고 5  →    → tell (일반 명령) ask (부탁) order (군대식 명령) advise (충고) 목적어 뒤에 to 부정사를 쓴다 (S+V+O+to 부정사) 

     He said to me, “Speak more slowly.”
→ He told me to speak more slowly.
She said to me, “Please come in.”
→ __________________________________________
The teacher said to us, “Be quiet.”
→_________________________________________

◆ 확인 문제

※ 다음 직접화법을 간접화법으로 바꾸시오. 
1. He said, “I am a student.” → 2. She said, “ I like my teacher.” → 3. John said, “ I want to go with my uncle.” → 4. Mother said to me, “ I will leave here tomorrow.” →

※ 다음 간접화법을 직접화법으로 바꿀 때 알맞은 말을 쓰시오.

He asked her where she lived. →He _____________________her, “_______________________________live?” 8.
