안녕하세요 Nash입니다~

2014년 첫 토픽을 올린 게 엊그제 같은데 벌써 4개월이 지났네요.

1월 12일에 제가 올렸던 토픽에서도 언급했지만

'숙명여대 SNOW'라는 사이트가 있는데 굉장히 유익해요. (저 절대 숙명여대 관계자 아닙니당...^^;)

전 세계 모든 대학의 수업, 특강을 주제별/대학별/전공별로 무료로 들을 수가 있어요~

저번에는 가수 ‘싸이’의 하버드대학교 특강을 주제로 정했는데

이번에는 오프라 윈프리의 2008년 스탠퍼드대 졸업 연설을 주제로 정했어요.

'Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.' 라는 구절로 유명한 스티브 잡스의 2005년 스탠퍼드대 졸업 연설도 괜찮지만

전 개인적으로 오프라 윈프리의 그것이 더 마음에 들어서 이걸로 정했어요.

질문들이 조금 부족하지만... 우선 먼저 등록했어요.

왜냐하면 조금이라도 일찍 올려야 한분이라도 동영상을 더 보실 것 같거든요.^^;

질문들은 조금씩 추가/수정해나갈테니...30분짜리 영상 한번 보시는 걸 추천드려요.

영어공부를 떠나서...총장을 비롯한 교수, 학생들의 기립박수를 받은 강의이니 한번 보셔도 좋을 것 같아요.

1. When did you first know 'Oprah Winfrey'? and what else do you know about her?

2. To you, what's the most impressive comments in this lecture?

ex) "You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato or Aristotle to serve. 5. In this lecture, she mentioned that there are so many values in our life. Money, Fame, Degree, and Love etc. In your case,

    Which one is the most important one?

    Then If unknown(평범한, 유명하지 않은) university asked her to make a speech in their school, would she accept or not?

    and why?

7. You could see a standing ovation(기립박수) in this lecture, Do you agree that she deserves a standing ovation?

    why or why not? and what's the reason?

8. Oprah Winfrey once said "Excellence excels all discrimination." Then...To her, what was the biggest discrimination?
