◆ 내가 인생(人生, life)을 다시 시작한 다면(If I start my life again) ◆

인생(人生, life)을 다시 산다면 다음번에는 더 많은 실수(失手, mistake)를 저지르리라. 긴장을 풀고 몸을 부드럽게 하리라.(If you live your life again, you will make more mistakes next time. Relax and soften your body.)

이번 인생보다 더 우둔해지리라. 가능한 한 매사를 심각(深刻, serious)하게 생각 하지 않을 것이며 보다 많은 기회 (機會, opportunity)를 붙잡으리라. (Be dimmer than this life. I won't take everything as seriously as possible, and I'll seize more opportunities.)

여행을 더 많이 다니고 석양을 더 자주 구경하리라. 산에도 더욱 자주 가고 강물에서 수영도 많이 하리라.(I will travel more and see the sunset more often. I will go to the mountains more often and swim in the river more often.)

아이스크림은 많이 먹되 콩 요리는 덜 먹으리라. 실제적인 고통(苦痛, pain)은 많이 겪을 것이나 상상 속의 고통은 가능한 한 피하리라.(Eat a lot of ice cream, but eat less beans. Actual pain will be suffered a lot, but imaginary pain will be avoided as much as possible.)

보라, 나는 시간 시간을, 하루하 루를의미 있고 분별 있게 살아온 사람 중의 하나이다.(Look, I'm one of the people who has lived time, day by day, meaningfully and sensibly.)

아, 나는 많은 순간(瞬間, instant)들을 맞았으나 인생을 다시 시작한다면 나의 순간(瞬間, moment)들을 더 많이 가지리라.(Oh, I've had a lot of moments, but have more of my moments if I start life again.)

사실은...!" 그러한 순간들
외에는 다른 의미 없는 시간들을 갖지 않도록 애쓰리라.(The truth is...!" I will try not to have any meaningless time other than those moments.)

오랜 세월을 앞에 두고 하루하루 를 살아 가는 대신 이 순간만을 맞으면서 살아가리라.(Instead of living day by day with a long time ahead of me, I will live with this moment alone.)

나는 지금까지 체온계와 보온물 병, 레인 코트, 우산(雨傘, umbrella)이 없이는 어느 곳에도 갈 수 없는 그런 무리 중의 하나였다.(I've been one of those groups that can't go anywhere without a thermometer, a thermos bottle, a raincoat and an umbrella.)

이제 인생을 다시 살 수 있다면 이보다 장비(裝備, equipment )를 간편(簡便, simplicity)하게 갖추고 여행길에 나서 리라.(If you can live your life again now, you should go on a trip with more convenient equipment.)

내가 인생을 다시 시작한다면 초봄부터 신발을 벗어던지고 늦가을까지 맨발로 지내리라.(If I start my life again, I will take off my shoes from early spring and stay barefoot until late autumn.)

춤추는 장소에도 자주 나가리라. 회전목 마도 자주 타리라. 데이지 꽃도 많이 꺾으리라.(Go to dance places often. Carousel rides often, too. Many daisies will also be picked.)
