설교문:

교회의 부흥은 단지 숫자적 증가를 의미하는 것이 아닙니다. 부흥은 하나님의 통치와 능력과 임재가 교회 외에 어떤 곳에도 이러한 영광을 주지 않으셨습니다. 하나님은 세상을 변화시키는 도구로 교회를 선택하셨습니다. 그리고 하나님의 큰일을 이루시기 위해 모든 가능한 능력과 권위와 자원을 교회에 이루시기 위해 모든 가능한 능력과 권위와 자원을 교회에 공급하십니다. 이것이 교회를 바라보는 하나님과 사람의 시각차입니다. 사람들은 교회를 하나님처럼 바라보지 않습니다. 그래서 교회보다는 세상에 가치를 두는 것입니다. 그러나 교회 공동체는 교회의 가치를 높일 수 있어야 합니다, 세상일의 승패가 교회의 운명에 달렸다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 이것이 학개와 스가랴 선지자를 향한 하나님의 관점입니다. 교회가 무너지면 국가도 무너지고, 교회가 황폐하게 되면 사람이 쓸모없게 되는 것입니다. 그러므로 교회회복이 국가와 개인의 회복이 되는 것입니다.

구약에서 성전 자체는 기본적으로 이 땅에 역사하시는 하나님의 임재를 상징합니다. 성전 자체가 하나님은 아니나 성전은 하나님을 상징하는 공간적 위치로서 신앙의 확신인 것입니다. 그러므로 성전은 하나님이 함께하신다는 의미로써 예수님 그리스도의 예표요, 모형이며, 그림자입니다. 성전의 유래는 모세가 시내 산에서 받은 성막으로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 하나님께서는 모세를 통해 이스라엘의 하나님이 되시고 이스라엘은 하나님의 백성이 된다는 언약을 맺습니다. 그리고 그 언약의 조건으로 이스라엘에게 율법과 제사법을 주시고 그것을 지키도록 명령하십니다. 성막은 하나님께서 이스라엘과 함께하시며 보호하실 것임을 보장하는 역할을 합니다. 하나님은 성막에서 모세를 만나고 백성들에게 나타나십니다. 성전과 성막은 형태는 다르나 하나님께서 임재 하신다는 본질적인 의미에서는 같습니다.

성전은 이스라엘 역사상 3번(솔로몬 성전, 스룹바벨 성전, 헤롯 성전)세워집니다. 결론적으로 성전은 오늘날 예수 그리스도의 몸이요, 예수 그리스도께서는 머리가 되시는 교회로 매듭짓습니다. 따라서 교회에 출입하는 교회 공동체, 예수님 그리스도를 믿는 모든 교회 공동체들은 교회를 통해 예수 그리스도와 연합하게 되는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 오직 교회를 통해서 구원, 보호, 언약을 보장하십니다. 하나님은 부르심을 받은 모든 교회 가족들에게 교회를 세우고 부흥시키는 소망과 갈망을 주십니다. 그러므로 교회 공동체는 교회를 세우는 일에 최우선해야 합니다. 존 낙스(John Knox)는 종종 이렇게 외쳤습니다. “주님이여! 스코틀랜드를 제게 주옵소서. 그렇지 않으면 죽음을 주옵소서!” 우리교회 공동체도 존 낙스와 같은 교회 부흥에 대한 소망과 열정을 품어야 합니다. 그렇다면 어떤 교회에 하나님의 부흥을 기대할 수 있습니까?

부흥을 소망하는 교회가 되려면,

첫째, 영적 자신감이 충만한 교회가 되어야 합니다.

둘째, 강한 추진력이 있는 교회가 되어야 합니다.

셋째, 십자가 헌신이 있는 교회가 되어야 합니다.

이 3가지 부흥을 축복예배에는 첫째, 영적 자신감이 충만한 교회가 되어야 합니다를 찬양기도예배에는 둘째, 강한 추진력이 있는 교회가 되어야 합니다를 수요합심기도예배에는 셋째, 십자가 헌신이 있는 교회가 되어야 합니다를 말씀드리고자 합니다.

교회의 부흥은 교회 공동체들의 헌신으로 이루어지는 것입니다. 예수님은 교회를 세우기 위해 주님의 생명을 하나님께 드렸습니다. 예수님 그리스도의 헌신으로 탄생한 교회는 하나님 나라이며 하나님의 영광입니다. 또한 교회는 세상과 열국을 심판하는 기준이 됩니다. 본문 7절을 보겠습니다. 또한 모든 나라를 진동시킬 것이며 모든 나라의 보배가 이르리니 내가 이 성전에 영광이 충만하게 하리라. 만군의 여호와의 말이니라. 은과 금뿐 아니라 이 세상 모든 것의 주인은 하나님이십니다. 이 신앙고백이 있는 사람이 바로 교회 공동체입니다. 하나님의 자녀인 교회 공동체는 예수님 그리스도의 것(고전3:23절 너희는 그리스도의 것이요 그리스도는 하나님의 것이니라.)입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 자녀들은 자신이 소유한 모든 것을 하나님의 것으로 인정하는 청지기 정신으로 살아야합니다. 청지기는 헬라어 디아코노스(diakonoseu,롬16:1절 내가 겐그레아 교회의 일꾼으로 있는 우리 자매 뵈뵈를 너희에게 추천하노니.)에서 유래된 단어입니다. 이 단어의 의미에는 여러 가지의 뜻이 함축되어 있는데 사환을 섬기는 자, 일꾼, 사역자, 종으로서 주인을 섬기는 자를 뜻하는 총체적 명칭입니다. 청지기는 헬라어로 오이코노모스(cucumber nose nomos,갈4:2절 그 아버지가 정한 때까지 후견인과 청지기 아래에 있나니.)입니다. 오이코노모스는 큰 집의 가사를 책임지고 동조는 일을 맡은 사람으로서 주인의 식탁에서 시중을 들고 집안의 여러 종들에게 지시를 내리며 주인을 대신하여 가사의 비용과 재산을 관리하는 자입니다. 그러므로 성경적, 신학적 의미에서 청지기 직분(stewardship)의 개념은 하나님의 집, 바로 교회의 일을 하고 관리하는 일꾼을 의미합니다. 히브리서3:4~6절입니다. 4집마다 지은 이가 있으니 만물을 지으신 이는 하나님이시라 5또한 모세는 장래에 말할 것을 증언하기 위하여 하나님의 온 집에서 종으로서 신실하였고 6그리스도는 하나님의 집을 맡은 아들로서 그와 같이 하셨으니. 우리교회 공동체가 소망의 확신과 자랑을 끝까지 굳게 잡고 있으면 우리는 그의 집이라 모세와 예수 그리스도는 하나님의 집, 성전을 건축한 청지기의 모범을 보였습니다. 그러므로 모든 교회 공동체는 모세와 예수님 그리스도를 본받아 하나님의 집인 교회를 위해 청지기 정신으로 자신의 몸과 재능, 물질, 시간, 열정을 다 바치는 충성된 청지기가 되어야 합니다. 하나님의 은혜를 아는 교회 공동체는 주님을 위한 삶이 이 세상 최고의 보람과 가치로 여기며 기쁨 가운데 청지기의 삶을 실천합니다. 교회에 헌신함으로 누리는 기쁨, 보람, 희락은 하늘에서 주시는 세상이 알 수 없는 특권입니다.

하나님께서는 이스라엘의 남은 사람들의 헌신을 통해 완성될 새 성전은 솔로몬 성전보다 그 영광이 더 크리라고 약속하십니다. 본문 9절입니다. 이 성전의 나중 영광이 이전 영광보다 크리라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라 내가 이 곳에 평강을 주리라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라.

새 성전은 솔로몬 성전보다 하나님의 임재와 영광이 넘치는 성전이 됩니다. 그 이유가 무엇입니까? 새 성전은 어려운 환경 속에서도 하나님의 성전을 우선하여 헌신하는 희생이 있기 때문입니다. 그 희생과 헌신은 주님에 대한 사랑으로부터 나오는 것입니다. 하나님은 그 희생, 헌신, 사랑을 보시고 평강으로 축복해 주시고, 임재와 영광으로 축복해 주시겠다고 말씀하십니다. 교회는 교회 공동체들의 사랑의 희생, 사랑의 헌신으로 세워지는 것입니다.

영적인 관점에서 볼 때 성전건축을 시작한 총독 스룹바벨과 대제사장 여호수아는 만왕의 왕이시며 영원한 대제사장이신 예수 그리스도를 미리 알려주는 것(슥6:9~14절 9여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되 10사로잡힌 자 가운데 바벨론에서부터 돌아온 헬대와 도비야와 여다야가 스바냐의 아들 요시아의 집에 들어갔나니 너는 이 날에 그 집에 들어가서 그들에게서 받되 11은과 금을 받아 면류관을 만들어 여호사닥의 아들 대제사장 여호수아의 머리에 씌우고 12말하여 이르기를 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 싹이라 이름하는 사람이 자기 곳에서 돋아나서 여호와의 전을 건축하리라 13그가 여호와의 전을 건축하고 영광도 얻고 그 자리에 앉아서 다스릴 것이요 또 제사장이 자기 자리에 있으리니 이 둘 사이에 평화의 의논이 있으리라 하셨다 하고 14그 면류관은 헬렘과 도비야와 여다야와 스바냐의 아들 헨을 기념하기 위하여 여호와의 전 안에 두라 하시니라.)입니다. 예수님 그리스도는 사람의 구세주로 오셨으나 낮고 천한 모습으로 오셔서 그 시작은 미약해 보였습니다. 그러나 십자가의 고통과 멸시를 친히 감당하시고 자신을 희생 제물로 하나님께 바침으로 모든 구원받는 자의 주가 되시고 새로운 성전을 완성하셨습니다. 11그리스도께서는 장래 좋은 일의 대제사장으로 오사 손으로 짓지 아니한 것 곧 이 창조에 속하지 아니한 더 크고 온전한 장막으로 말미암아 12염소와 송아지의 피로 하지 아니하고 오직 자기의 피로 영원한 속죄를 이루사 단번에 성소에 들어가셨느니라.(히9:11~12절) 교회 공동체는 예수 그리스도의 헌신으로 말미암아 새 성전에 들어갈 수 있고 하나님과 평화를 누릴 수 있습니다.

인디언 데이비드 브레이너드(David Brainerd)선교사의 고백입니다. “나는 삶의 위로를 발견할 수 없는 광야에서는 종종 추위와 굶주림에 시달렸고, 숲 속에서는 종종 길을 잃었으며, 때로는 한밤중에 말을 타고 달려야 했다. 한번은 숲 속에서 밤을 지새운 적이 있었다. 그러나 하나님은 나를 지켜주셨다. 하나님 찬송을 받으소서!” 데이비드 브레이너드 목사는 황무지와도 같았던 인디언들 사이에 거처를 마련하고, 함께 살고, 복음 전하는 일에 헌신하였습니다. 그것은 마치 달걀로 바위를 치는 듯한 사도처럼 보였습니다. 그러나 수많은 역경과 고난을 통과한 뒤 결국 회심한 인디언 교회 공동체들을 얻을 수 있었고 누구도 기대할 수 없었던 하나님의 기적, 부흥을 경험하게 됩니다.

교회 공동체여러분! 교회 공동체의 삶에 자기 부인, 십자가 헌신이 있습니까? 하나님 나라의 부흥을 사모합니까? 주님은 이렇게 말씀하십니다. 이에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 누구든지 나를 따라오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따를 것이니라. (마16:24절) 하나님은 교회 공동체 안에 질그릇의 보배인 예수님 그리스도를 심으셨습니다. 사과나무에서 사과가 열매 맺고, 포도나무에서 포도가 열매 맺듯, 예수님 그리스도 안에 있는 자에게는 십자가의 열매, 부활의 열매, 부흥의 열매가 맺힙니다. 예수님 안에 있는 사람에게는 하나님 나라를 향한 헌신, 희생, 사랑이 나타납니다. 교회 공동체여러분의 마음 문을 열고 주님이 내 안에서 나타나도록 주님을 따라가십시오. 그것이 제자의 길, 사명의 길, 부흥의 길입니다. 하나님께서는 저와 교회 공동체여러분을 하나님 나라 부흥의 위해 부르셨습니다. 힘들어도 어려워도 다함께 그 길을 걸어갑시다. 하나님께서 원하시는 십자가의 흔적이 있는 삶을 삽시다.

부흥을 소망하는 교회가 되려면,

첫째, 영적 자신감이 충만한 교회가 되어야 합니다.

둘째, 강한 추진력이 있는 교회가 되어야 합니다.

셋째, 십자가 헌신이 있는 교회가 되어야 합니다.

마침기도: 하나님 아버지! 우리교회 공동체가 부흥을 소망하는 교회가 되려면, 영적 자신감이 충만한 교회가 되어야 하고, 강한 추진력이 있는 교회가 되어야 하고, 십자가 헌신이 있는 교회가 되어야함으로, 부르심의 기회를 응답하는 교회 공동체가 되시어 교회 공동체의 죄를 회개하고 성령님의 충만으로 변화되어 예수님이 교회 공동체의 주님과 구세주요 그리스도이심을 전하는 교회 공동체가 되시기를 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘!!!
