The Lord after the Resurrection 3.
While they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be to you." But they were startled and frightened and thought that they were seeing a spirit. And He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? "See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. While they still could not believe it because of their joy and amazement, He said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?" They gave Him a piece of a broiled fish; and He took it and ate it before them. Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. "You are witnesses of these things. "And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:36-49
It is Peace that we will consider together through the third word of the Lord after the resurrection. The Lord said during his ministry, "My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you" (John 14:27). And the first word he said to his disciples after the resurrection was also "Be Peace." This peace is probably what many people wish for.
In today's words, the Lord makes a key statement about the resurrection. "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." Just before, the Lord eats grilled fish in front of his disciples. This was an act to show that he had resurrected himself with the flesh because they thought it was the spirit that they were surprised.
Therefore, it is important to remember that the resurrection is the fulfillment of all the prophecies of the Bible. So what does this resurrection have to do with the peace that the Lord said? What have the Lord done for the redemption for us so far? Or what should I do to achieve it? People have thought a lot about this. But the Lord said that today's expression results in how all the prophecies of the Bible are made to the Lord himself.
The Lord was born as a human being, lived everything, and even experienced death. This means that God, the Creator, has become a creature himself and has lived all of it. In this way, God the Creator has become a human being, a complete creation. And that human being, Jesus, has become God, his original position. We have not contributed or intervened in all of this. Only God has accomplished His own life.
However, all of the Lord's processes have been fully accomplished by the creation and the fullness of God beyond that created another full being. In other words, our faith should not be about 'What has the Lord done to us?' or 'What should we do?' but rather knowing 'what kind of person has our God become?' Our God is an almighty creator who is full of himself, but has become a creature himself and a full human being.
This fact is important that because our God knows everything in our life, He does not have any restrictions on coming to us and becoming one. We do not have to go to God for this. Because God has come directly to our character and life and become one with us. Therefore, what we now know is what we are. We are united with God.
The peace the Lord mentioned is to have one personality with the Lord. Therefore, it is not the same as the world gives. Because people believe that peace can be achieved when everything is given as desired and no one harms me, but fundamentally, life cannot have peace because it lives with the cause of conflict in its own mind. Only when the Lord becomes one with us can we gain the peace of heaven.
