Proverbs 8
 
8:1 Does not wisdom call out? 지혜가 부르지 않느냐?
Does not understanding raise her voice? 명철이 그 목소리를 높이지 않느냐?

8:2 On the heights along the way, 길을 따라 높은 곳에
where the paths meet, 길이 만나는 곳
she takes her stand; 지혜(그녀)가 서 있다.

8:3 beside the gates leading into the city, 도시로 통하는 그 문들 옆에 
at the entrances, she cries aloud: 그 입구에서 그녀(지혜)가 큰 소리로 울었다.

8:4 "To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind.
너에게, 오, 사람들아, 내가 부른다. 나는 모든 인류에게 내 음성을 높인다.

8:5 You who are simple, gain prudence(분별력); 너희 단순한 자들아, 분별력을 얻으라.
you who are foolish, gain understanding. 어리석은 너희여 명철을 얻으라.

8:6 Listen, for I have worthy things to say; 들으라. 내가 말할 가치가 있는 것들을 가지고 있다.
I open my lips to speak what is right.나는 옳은 것을 말할 내 입술을 연다.

8:7 My mouth speaks what is true, 내 입술은 참된 것을 말한다.
for my lips detest(혐오하다) wickedness.내 입술들은 사악한 것을 혐오하기에

8:8 All the words of my mouth are just; 내 입술의 모든 말들은 공정하다.
none of them is crooked(왜곡되다) or perverse(삐뚤어지다).
그것들 중에 어떤 것도 왜곡되거나 삐뚤어진 것이 없다.

8:9 To the discerning(분별력 있는 사람들에게)all of them are right;
분별력 있는 사람들에게 그것들 모두가 옳다.
 they are faultless to those who have knowledge.
그들은 지식이 있는 사람에게 흠이 없을 것이다.
