Jesus and the Promised Pastor of the Second Coming

In Rv 2-3, Jesus made a promise with the one who overcomes. He said that he would give the promised blessings of Rv 2-3 to him who overcomes. In this article, we will only look at four of the seven places where the promises between the one who overcomes and Jesus were recorded (Rv 2:7, 10-11, 17, 26-28; 3:5, 12, 21).

In Rv2:17, Jesus promised to give the hidden manna and white stone to him who overcomes. In Rv 2:26-28, Jesus said he would give him the iron scepter to rule all nations and the morning star. In Rv 3:12, it is recorded that God's name, the name of the new Jerusalem, and Jesus’s new name will be written on him (the one who overcomes). Also, in Rv 3:21, it is promised that he will sit on Jesus’s throne with him.

God was in Jesus, and Jesus was in God (Ref. Jn17:20-26). Today, Jesus who returned, came back in the spirit and worked with the one who overcomes. This can be seen throughout the entire Book of Revelation. Though the one who overcomes in Rv 2-3 is not Jesus, we can know through the Bible that Jesus is with him. It is written in Jn 10:35 that the Scriptures cannot be broken.

As stated in Rv 2-3, the male child born from the woman clothed with the sun, moon, and stars and his brothers, fought and overcame the dragon’s group in Rv 12:11. The location of Rv 12 is the same place (tabernacle) as Rv 13. Those who overcame in Rv 12 are the ones who overcame in Rv 15. They were before God’s throne, and became the bowls of God’s wrath and judged Babylon in Rv 16 and Rv 18.

Jesus chose them (the male child and his brothers) because they fought at the location of Rv 13 and Rv 12, so they know the place and the people there very well. Therefore, they are the living witnesses of the entire book of Revelation, and were made into bowls of wrath. Thus, just as God was with Jesus at the time of the first coming (Jn 10:30, 14:11), at the time of the second coming, Jesus who is spirit, became one with those who overcame (Ref. Rv 19: 11-14). Therefore, a saint who believes in the Revelation of the Bible will know the one whom Jesus is with. Let's believe and achieve our hope.
