축복가정의 전통과 책임
참부모님께서는 축복가정은 참부모님의 전통을 이어받아 부모와 부부, 자녀가 하나되는 것은 물론 자기 가정보다도 종족과 민족·국가·세계를 먼저 생각하고 위하면서 살아야 한다고 말씀하셨다. 특히 축복가정 정착시대는 어머니와 자녀의 책임시대이기 때문에 형제인 가인 아벨의 일체화, 어머니와 자녀의 일체화, 그리고 참부모 가정과 일체화를 이루어야 된다고 강조하셨다.

1 통일교회에선 축복을 받았다고 하는 것은 혈통을 전환했다는 말입니다. 마크를 하나 찍은 것인데 그렇다고 그것이 다 합격은 아닙니다. 조건적인 마크입니다. 조건적인 혈통, 조건적인 생명, 조건적인 사랑이라는 것입니다. 이 조건적인 혈통이 자꾸 살아 퍼져 나가면 사탄이 못 가져갑니다. 이 생명이 자라면 사탄이 못 가져 간다는 것입니다. 참사랑이 연결되어 있기 때문에 사탄과 관계가 없습니다. 그 사랑과 생명과 혈통이 자라 나가게 될 때에는 사탄이 못 가져갑니다. 그러나 이 조건적인 것이 죽었을 때에는 아무나 가지고 갑니다. 그래서 축복받은 것에 대해 모든 것을 주더라도 바꾸지 않을 만큼 귀하게 여기고 키워 나가야 됩니다. 축복이 얼마나 귀하다는 것을 알아야 합니다.

2 부모, 부부, 그리고 자녀가 하나되는 곳이 가정입니다. 그 셋이 없으면 가정이 이루어질 수 없습니다. 그러한 가정으로부터 종족·민족·국가·세계·천주, 지상천국으로 발전하는 것입니다. 절대부모 절대부부 절대형제가 하나되는 센터에 하나님이 임재합니다. 그것이 가정의 기지입니다. 군대의 기지와 마찬가지입니다. 거기에서부터 종족·민족·국가·세계·천주, 그리고 지상천국과 천상천국으로 연결된다는 것입니다. 하나님의 이상이 이루어질 수 있는 곳이 가정 기지입니다. 참부모가 없으면 참가정이 있을 수 없습니다. 참부모가 없으면 참자녀도 있을 수 없기 때문입니다. 이상적인 부부라면 아들딸이 가져야 됩니다. 그래야 이상가정을 이룰 수 있습니다. 이상가정은 3대가 연결된 그러한 기반 위에서 이루어질 수 있습니다. 그러지 않으면 이상가정이 이루어질 수 없습니다.

3 하나님의 아들딸이 축복을 받고 완성됨으로써 하나님의 사랑도 완성될 수 있습니다. 그럼으로써 하나님은 부모로서의 사랑이 완성된 기반 위에서 영존할 수 있게 됩니다. 그렇게 사랑은 자리로부터 찾을 수 있는 것이 아닙니다. 남자 앞에 절대진리체가 여자입니다. 절대진리의 본체이신 하나님의 사랑을 남자 앞에 여자가 없으면 영원히 찾을 수 없습니다. 그 사랑을 완성시킬 수 없습니다. 여러분도 결혼하지 않았다면 사랑을 알 수 없을 것입니다. 그러면 부모의 고마움도 모르고 아들딸의 고마움도 모르고 남편의 고마움도 모르는 것입니다. 사랑을 중심삼고 일체권에 연결시켜 주는 사람이 남편이고, 남편을 사랑의 일체권에 연결시켜 주는 사람은 아내라는 것입니다.

4 축복받은 부부는 축복받은 그날부터 해야 될 책임이 있습니다. 그 책임은 부부가 합하여 가정을 형성하여 사는 것이 아니라 둘이 합쳐서 민족 혹은 국가를 형성해야 된다는 것입니다. 축복받은 사람이 열 사람이면 열 사람의 가정이 합하여 새로운 세계관 아래 하나의 종족을 편성해야 됩니다. 새로운 국가를 형성하자면 먼저 새로운 종족을 편성해야 되는 것입니다. 그 종족은 분열된 종족이 아니라 하나로 통일된 종족이라야 됩니다. 그러니 축복받은 열 사람의 목적은 서로 같아야 합니다. 이 가정들은 사탄세계에서 찾아 세운 소수의 가정들이기에 언제나 사탄세계의 공세를 받을 수 있는 입장에 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 언제나 하나가 되어 단결해서 그 환경에 압도해 들어오는 외부의 힘을 능가할 수 있게끔 결속을 해야 됩니다. 그 힘을 능가하려면 자체 내에서 완전한 통일이 이루어져야 됩니다. 그렇게 하나된 모습이 된다면 아무리 외적으로 사탄의 침범을 받더라도 능히 이겨 낼 수 있습니다. 이렇게 결집된 실체를 갖춘 데에서부터 사탄세계의 침범을 받지 않는 새로운 종족이 형성되는 것입니다. 그러한 종족이 형성되는 것입니다. 그러한 단결된 종족을 통하여 민족이 형성되고 그 단결된 민족을 통해서 새로운 국가가 형성되는 것입니다.

5 여러분이 축복을 받은 것은 자기 부부를 위한 것이 아닙니다. 부부를 위하기 전에 종족을 위해야 부부로서 안식할 수 있는 자리가 이루어집니다. 또한 종족은 국가를 위해야 종족이 안식할 수 있는 자리가 이루어지고, 국가는 세계를 위해야 국가가 안식할 수 있는 자리가 이루어집니다. 이런 관점에서 축복은 여러분 개인을 위한 것이 아니라는 것입니다. 여러분 각자가 축복은 전체를 대표하는 것이라는 신념을 가지고 가야만 됩니다. 그러한 입장에서 서로가 하나되어 가정을 형성하게 될 때 비로소 그 가정은 세계로 향할 수 있는 가정이 됩니다. 만일 그런 축복가정이 한 가정밖에 없다 할 때에는 그 한 가정이 그런 책임을 절대적으로 져야 됩니다. 그런 신념 밑에서 나아가는 가정들이 많으면 많을수록, 즉 그렇게 나아가는 과정에서 한 가정 한 가정 남아지게 되면 복귀섭리는 진전된다는 것입니다. 그러니 같은 길을 가는 가정이 많다 하더라도 서로 의지만 할 것이 아니라 각자가 자주성을 가지라는 것입니다. 그런 가정이 국가를 위한 가정이요 세계를 위한 가정입니다. 그런 자각 밑에서 나아가는 가정이라면 그 가정에서 태어난 후손들도 국가를 위하고 세계를 위하는 사람이 된다는 것입니다. 그렇게 되면 그 남편은 역사적인 남편이 되고 그 아내는 역사적인 아내가 될 것입니다. 또한 그 후손은 하나님의 복귀섭리 도상에서 세계를 복귀하는 데에 필요한 종족이 될 것입니다. 그런 종족적인 인연을 갖춘 부부가 되었다면 그들은 새로운 시대에 조상의 자리에 등극할 것입니다.

6 축복받은 부부는 자기들 마음대로 살 수 없습니다. 하나님의 공약을 위하여, 그 나라의 공약을 위하여 살아야 됩니다. 자기 상대가 잘나고 못난 것이 문제가 아니라 가야 할 목적성이 문제입니다. 즉 자기들이 살아서 후손이 가야 할 정상적인 길을 어떻게 닦아 놓느냐 하는 것이 문제입니다. 여러분을 보게 되면 남편과 아내가 서로 자기를 사랑하라고 하는데 그런 입장은 틀렸다는 것입니다. 그런 사랑은 인정할 수 없는 것입니다. 자기를 사랑하라고 하기 전에 먼저 국가를 사랑하고 세계를 사랑하라고 해야 됩니다. 그러고 나서 자기를 사랑하라고 해야 됩니다. 이것이 축복받은 가정으로서 가야 할 길입니다. 이것은 남편이나 아내나 모두 마찬가지입니다. 나를 사랑하는 대신 나라를 사랑하고 세계를 사랑하고 하늘을 사랑하라고 해야 된다는 것입니다.

7 축복가정은 자기 가정보다 종족을 더 사랑해야 되고 민족을 더 사랑해야 되고 나아가 나라와 세계를 더 사랑해야 됩니다. 그리고 자기 친척과 축복받은 동료들을 사랑해야 됩니다. 이렇게 해서 서로가 연결된 하나의 가정이 있다면 그 가정은 아무리 많은 가정이 있다 하더라도 표시가 나는 것입니다. 남자와 여자가 하나되어 결합한 그 가정에서는 국가를 사랑하는 모양, 세계를 사랑하는 모양, 하늘을 사랑하는 모양이 나타난다는 것입니다. 이처럼 부부는 일치가 되어야 합니다. 자기만 사랑해 달라고 하고 당신은 내 것이라는 등 지금까지 세상 부부들이 습관적으로 할 수 있는 말을 축복가정은 해서는 안 됩니다. 그러니 아내 된 사람은 시간만 나면 그러한 남편이 되지 않도록 정성을 들여야 됩니다. 또한 남편 되는 사람도 시간만 나면 그러한 아내가 되지 않도록 정성을 들여야 됩니다. 서로서로가 힘에 힘을 합해 도와주고 인도해 주어야 합니다. 그 길을 가는데 있어서 상심하지 않도록 서로가 용기를 주고 서로가 인도하면 인도를 받아야 할 책임을 같이 지고 있는 것이 부부요 가정이라는 것입니다.

8 우리 통일가는 현재 입장에서 머물러 있을 것이 아니라 발전을 해야 됩니다. 국가의 운세를 안고 세계의 운세를 안고 태어날 수 있는 후손을 낳아야 됩니다. 결혼은 새로운 민족, 새로운 국가를 형성하기 위하여 그럴 수 있는 인재를 모색하고자 하는 것입니다. 지금까지 세상 사람들은 자기를 위해서 결혼한다고 했습니다. 그러나 통일교회에서는 결혼을 민족을 위하고 세계를 위하여 하는 것입니다. 우리 가정은 역사노정에 있었던 수많은 가정들을 구원할 수 있는 구주의 가정입니다. 그 자리는 세상의 모든 사람들을 탕감복귀시키고 영계에 있는 영인들과 후대의 후손들을 위하여 대신 길잡이가 되어 갈 길을 열어 주는 자리라는 것입니다. 그러한 구주의 입장에 서기 위해서 내가 살아가고 있다고 생각해야 됩니다.

9 이제 자녀가정 정착시대가 되어야 합니다. 자녀가정 정착시대는 첫째, 어머니 책임시대입니다. 어머니가 메시아의 책임을 해야 됩니다. 둘째는 자녀 책임시대인데, 가인 아벨이 일체가 되어야 하는 시대입니다. 가인 아벨, 형제가 하나되어 완전히 일체가 되어야 합니다. 가인 아벨을 분별하기 위해 역사시대에 많은 희생을 해 나왔는데 또다시 자녀들이 싸우는 일이 있어서는 안 됩니다. 어느 동네를 가더라도 가인 아벨이 있는데, 동네 전체를 위해서 희생하고 양보하는 사람이 아벨이 되고 주인이 됩니다. 이런 것을 알기 때문에 싸울 수 없다는 것입니다. 자녀 책임시대는 가인 아벨이 하나되어야 하는 시대입니다. 셋째는 어머니와 가인 아벨이 하나되어야 합니다. 어머니 책임시대, 자녀 책임시대가 가정에서 정착하는 시대이기 때문에 어머니와 자녀가 하나되어서 남편과 아버지를 복귀해야 됩니다. 어머니와 자녀가 하나 안 되어서는 아버지 복귀가 안 됩니다. 그것이 절대적으로 하나되기 위해서는 어머니가 책임을 해야 되고 가인 아벨이 하나되어야 합니다. 그래서 그것으로 끝나는 것이 아닙니다. 넷째는 참부모 가정과 일체시대에 들어가는 것입니다. 그래서 축복 전체화시대에 이르는 것입니다.

祝福家庭の伝統と責任
真の父母様は、「祝福家庭は、真の父母様の伝統を受け継ぎ、父母と夫婦、子女が一つになることはもちろん、自分の家庭よりも氏族と民族、国家、世界を先に考え、ために生きなければならない」と語られた。特に、祝福家庭の定着時代は、母と子女の責任時代であるため、兄弟であるカイン・アベルの一体化、母と子女の一体化、そして、真の父母様の家庭との一体化を成し遂げなければならないことを強調された。
 
１ 統一教会で祝福を受けたというのは、血統を転換したということです。マークを一つ付けたのですが、だからといって、それですべて合格ではありません。条件的なマークです。条件的な血統、条件的な生命、条件的な愛だというのです。この条件的な血統が絶えず生き生きとして広がっていけば、サタンはもっていけません。この生命が育てば、サタンがもっていけないというのです。真の愛が連結されているので、サタンと関係がないのです。その愛と生命と血統が育っていけば、サタンはもっていけません。
 
しかし、この条件的なものが死んでしまったときには、誰もがもっていきます。ですから、祝福を受けたことに対して、すべてを与えられても取り替えることはできないというほど貴く思い、育んでいかなければなりません。祝福がどれほど貴いかを知らなければならないのです。
 
２ 父母、夫婦、そして、子女が一つになる所が家庭です。その三つがなければ、家庭は成立しません。そのような家庭から、氏族、民族、国家、世界、天宙、地上天国に発展するのです。絶対父母、絶対夫婦、絶対兄弟が一つになるセンターに神様が臨在します。それが家庭の基地です。軍隊の基地と同じです。そこから氏族、民族、国家、世界、天宙、そして、地上天国と天上天国に連結されるというのです。神様の理想が成し遂げられる所が家庭基地です。
 
真の父母がいなければ、真の家庭はあり得ません。真の父母がいなければ、真の子女も存在し得ないからです。理想的な夫婦であれば、息子、娘をもたなければなりません。それでこそ、理想家庭を成し遂げられます。理想家庭は、三代が連結されたそのような基盤の上でつくられるのです。そうでなければ、理想家庭は成し遂げられません。
 
３ 神様の息子、娘が祝福を受けて完成することにより、神様の愛も完成されます。それにより、神様は、父母としての愛が完成した基盤の上で、永存できるようになるのです。そのように、愛は自分から見いだせるものではありません。男性の前に絶対真理体は女性です。絶対真理の本体であられる神様の愛は、男性の前に女性がいなければ、永遠に探し出せません。その愛を完成させることはできないのです。
 
皆さんも、結婚しなかったならば、愛を知ることはできないでしょう。そうすれば、父母のありがたみも分からず、息子、娘のありがたみも分からず、夫のありがたみも分からないのです。愛を中心として一体圏に連結させてくれる人が夫であり、夫を愛の一体圏に連結させてくれる人が妻だというのです。
 
４ 祝福を受けた夫婦は、祝福を受けたその日から果たすべき責任があります。その責任とは、夫婦が一つになり、家庭を形成して生きるだけではなく、二人が一つになって、民族、あるいは国家を形成しなければならないということです。祝福を受けた人が十人であれば、十人の家庭が一つになって新しい世界観のもと、一つの氏族を編成しなければなりません。新しい国家を形成しようとすれば、まず、新しい氏族を編成しなければならないのです。その氏族は、分裂した氏族ではなく、一つに統一された氏族でなければなりません。
 
ですから、祝福を受けた十人の目的は、互いに同じでなければならないのです。これらの家庭は、サタン世界において探して立てた少数の家庭なので、いつでもサタン世界の攻勢を受ける立場にあります。そのため、いつでも一つになって団結し、その環境を圧倒して入り込んでくる外部の力を凌駕できるように結束しなければならないのです。その力を凌駕しようとするなら、自体内で完全な統一が成し遂げられなければなりません。
 
そのように一つになった姿になれば、いくら外的にサタンの侵犯を受けても、十分に打ち勝つことができます。このように結集した実体を備えた所から、サタン世界の侵犯を受けない新しい氏族が形成されるのです。そのような団結した氏族を通して民族が形成され、その団結した民族を通して新しい国家が形成されるのです。
 
５ 皆さんが祝福を受けたのは、自分たち夫婦のためではありません。夫婦のために生きる前に、氏族のために生きてこそ、夫婦として安息できる立場が成立します。また、氏族は国家のために生きてこそ、氏族が安息できる立場が成立し、国家は世界のために生きてこそ、国家が安息できる立場が成立するのです。このような観点で、祝福は、皆さん個人のためのものではないというのです。皆さん各自が、祝福は全体を代表するものであるという信念をもっていかなければなりません。そのような立場から、互いが一つになって家庭を形成するようになるとき、初めてその家庭は、世界に向かえる家庭になるのです。
 
もし、そのような祝福家庭が一家庭しかないというときには、その一家庭がその責任を絶対的に負わなければなりません。そのような信念のもとで歩む家庭が多ければ多いほど、すなわち、そのように歩む過程で一家庭、一家庭が残るようになれば、復帰摂理は進展するのです。ですから、同じ道を行く家庭が多いとしても、互いに頼ってばかりいるのではなく、各自が自主性をもちなさいというのです。
 
そのような家庭が、国家のための家庭であり、世界のための家庭です。そのような自覚のもとで歩んでいく家庭であれば、その家庭で生まれた子孫たちも、国家のために生き、世界のために生きる人になるというのです。そのようになれば、その夫は歴史的な夫になり、その妻は歴史的な妻になるでしょう。また、その子孫は、神様の復帰摂理の途上において世界を復帰するために必要な氏族になるでしょう。そのような氏族的な絆を備えた夫婦になったとすれば、彼らは新しい時代において、（氏族の）先祖の位置に登極するでしょう。
 
６ 祝福を受けた夫婦は、自分たちの思いどおりに生きることはできません。神様の公約のために、その国の公約のために生きなければなりません。自分の相対が優れているか劣っているかが問題ではなく、行くべき目的性が問題です。すなわち、自分たちが生きながら、子孫が行くべき正常な道をどのように築いておくかが問題です。皆さんを見ると、夫と妻が互いに「自分を愛しなさい」と言うのですが、そのような立場は間違っているというのです。そのような愛は認められません。
 
「自分を愛しなさい」と言う前に、まず「国家を愛し、世界を愛しなさい」と言わなければなりません。そのようにしてから、「自分を愛しなさい」と言うべきです。これが、祝福を受けた家庭として行くべき道です。これは、夫も妻もすべて同じです。「私を愛する代わりに、国を愛し、世界を愛し、天を愛しなさい」と言わなければならないのです。
 
７ 祝福家庭は、自分の家庭より氏族をもっと愛さなければならず、民族をもっと愛さなければならず、さらには国と世界をもっと愛さなければなりません。そして、自分の親戚と祝福を受けた同僚たちを愛さなければなりません。このようにして、互いが連結された一つの家庭があるとすれば、その家庭は、いくら多くの家庭があるとしても、際立つのです。男性と女性が一つになって結合したその家庭からは、国家を愛する形、世界を愛する形、天を愛する形が表れるというのです。
 
このように、夫婦は一致しなければなりません。「私だけを愛してほしい」と言い、「あなたは私のものだ」など、今まで世の中の夫婦が習慣的に語ってきた言葉を、祝福家庭は語ってはいけません。ですから、妻たる人は、時間さえあればそのような夫にならないよう、精誠を尽くさなければなりません。また、夫たる人も、時間さえあればそのような妻にならないよう、精誠を尽くさなければならないのです。互いにしっかり力を合わせて助け合い、導いてあげなければなりません。その道を行くに当たって、傷心しないように、互いに勇気を与え合い、導き合う責任を一緒に背負っているのが夫婦であり、家庭だというのです。
 
８ 私たち統一家は、現在の立場にとどまっているのではなく、発展しなければなりません。国家の運勢をもち、世界の運勢をもって生まれる子孫を残さなければなりません。結婚は、新しい民族、新しい国家を形成するために、そのようにできる人材を模索しようとしてするものです。今まで世の中の人々は、自分のために結婚すると考えました。しかし、統一教会では、民族のために、世界のために結婚するのです。私たちの家庭は、歴史路程に存在した数多くの家庭を救える救世主の家庭です。
 
その立場は、世の中のすべての人々のために蕩減復帰して、霊界にいる霊人たちと後代の子孫たちのために、代わりに道しるべとなり、行くべき道を開いてあげる立場だというのです。そのような救世主の立場に立つために、「私」は生きているのだと考えなければなりません。
 
９ 今や、子女家庭の定着時代にならなければなりません。子女家庭の定着時代は、第一に、母の責任時代です。母がメシヤの責任を果たさなければなりません。
 
第二に、子女の責任時代ですが、カインとアベルが一体になるべき時代です。カインとアベル、兄弟が一つになり、完全に一体とならなければなりません。カインとアベルを分別するため、歴史時代に多くの犠牲を払ってきましたが、再び子女たちが争うことがあってはいけません。どの町に行ってもカインとアベルがいますが、町全体のために犠牲になり、譲歩する人がアベルになり、主人になります。このようなことを知っているため、争うことができないというのです。子女の責任時代は、カインとアベルが一つにならなければならない時代です。
 
第三に、母とカイン、アベルが一つにならなければなりません。母の責任時代、子女の責任時代が、家庭において定着する時代なので、母と子女が一つになって、夫と父を復帰しなければなりません。母と子女が一つにならなければ、父の復帰ができません。それが絶対的に一つになるためには、母が責任を果たさなければならず、カインとアベルが一つにならなければなりません。そして、それで終わるのではありません。
 
第四に、真の父母の家庭との一体時代に入ります。そうして、祝福全体化時代に至るのです。

Traditions and responsibilities
True Parents instructed that blessed parents, spouses and children need to unite to inherit True Parents' tradition and that before they think of and live for their own family, they need to think of and live for their tribe, people, nation and world. True Parents pointed out in particular that the age of the settlement of blessed families is the age of mother-child responsibility. This means that for a blessed family to unite with True Parents' family, the mother and children need to unite, and the Cain and Abel siblings need to unite.
 
1 The fact that you are blessed in the Unification Church means that your lineage was changed and you were anointed. But this does not mean that you have fully accomplished the standard. You received this anointing conditionally. This means that you received the lineage, life and love conditionally and you must take them seriously. As long as your conditional lineage continues to expand, Satan cannot take it away. Upon your maturity, you will be connected with true love so that there will be no relationship with Satan, and Satan cannot take anything away. When your love, life and lineage mature, Satan will no longer be able to take them away.

Please grasp the value of the Blessing. It should be so precious that you would not exchange it even if you were offered everything. If, on the other hand, you disregard this conditional anointing, anyone can take it away. That is why you must nurture it and help it to grow. How precious the Blessing is! (216-217, 1991/04/01)
 
2 The family is the place where parents, spouses and children are united. If any of these three are missing, the family cannot be realized. The family develops into a tribe, people, nation, world, cosmos and the kingdom of heaven on earth. Where there is unity between absolute parents, absolute spouses and absolute siblings, God can dwell. The family base is the base of operations which can connect to a tribe, people, nation, world, cosmos and the kingdom of heaven on earth and in heaven. This is where God's ideal will be realized. Without True Parents, true children cannot exist, and if you do not become true children, you cannot create a true family. An ideal husband and wife, by creating sons and daughters, can realize the ideal family. The connection of three generations is the foundation for realizing an ideal family. Without it, an ideal family cannot appear. (339-212, 2000/12/16)
 
3 When God's sons and daughters are blessed and become perfect, God's love can also become perfect. Therefore, God can exist eternally as the Parent on the foundation of perfected love. People cannot find love by themselves alone. The absolute embodiment of true love for a man is a woman. Without a woman, a man cannot find the love of God, who is the substance of absolute truth. He cannot perfect true love without her. If you had not married, you would not have known the realms of love. You would not have known the value of parents, the value of sons and daughters, or the value of a spouse. The husband is the only person who can bring his wife into oneness based on love, and the wife is the only person who can bring her husband into oneness based on love. (352-333, 2001/09/01)
 
4 The responsibility of a blessed couple begins on the day of their Blessing. Their responsibility is not just that a husband and wife live in unity as a family, but that on the foundation of their unity they form a tribe and nation. The families of ten blessed people can form one tribe through this new worldview. Before forming the new nation, we must first form new tribes. These tribes must not be created through conflict-based division, but through unity-based multiplication. Therefore, those ten people who received the Blessing must have the same purpose.

We are a small number of families who have been restored from Satan's world, so we are in a position to be easily attacked by Satan. Therefore, we always have to be united and bound together in order to defeat the overwhelming forces seeking to invade. In order to defeat those forces, we have to achieve complete oneness among us. If we are united in this way, we will easily overcome Satan's invasion, no matter how strong it is. When we are united substantially, we will form a new tribe free from Satan's invasion. 5 You did not receive the Blessing for your family's private gain. Your family can reach the place of Sabbath rest only when you first live for the sake of your tribe and only then live for the sake of your family. In the same way, the tribe can reach the place of Sabbath rest when it lives for the sake of the nation, and the nation can reach the place of Sabbath rest when it lives for the sake of the world.

In this respect, the Blessing is not just for yourself. Each of you needs to have faith that the Blessing represents the whole. When a husband and wife unite and build their family based on this faith, their family can move toward the world level. If there is only one blessed family that meets that standard, that family has to take absolute responsibility. The greater the number of families that can move forward, the faster the providence of restoration can progress.

Now, even though there may be many families who are going this way, do not depend on them. Make sure you fulfill your responsibility. The family desired by the nation and the world is the self-reliant family. The descendants of such an awakened family will live for the sake of the nation and the world. The husband will become a historic husband, and the wife of this family will become a historic wife. Moreover, their descendants will become the tribe that is needed for the restoration of the world in the course of God's providence. If you become the family who can build such a tribe, you will be crowned as the ancestors of the new age. (030-178, 1970/03/22)
 
6 Blessed couples cannot live merely at their own discretion. They have to live for God's public purpose or the nations public purpose. Whether your spouse is or is not attractive is not the issue. The issue is the direction in which you are going. In other words, the issue is how to pave the way of righteousness that your descendants will follow. When I see you asking for love from your spouse, I feel it is wrong. I cannot approve such love. Before you ask your spouse to love you, you need to ask him or her to love the nation and the world. After you do that, you can ask for love from your spouse. This is the way for blessed husbands and wives to live. We have to encourage our spouse to love the nation, the world and heaven, before loving us. (030-179, 1970/03/22)
 
7 Blessed members have to love their tribe and people, and their nation and world more than they love their own family. Furthermore, they have to love their relatives and other blessed families more than their own family. The family in which each member is connected in this way will stand out from other families and be recognized. In that family in which man and woman are united and in harmony with each other, we will have a model for loving the nation, world and heaven. Husband and wife need to be united in that way.

Blessed husbands and wives must avoid saying things like "You should love only me" or "You belong to me," which are habitually uttered by worldly husbands and wives. Instead, they should take time each day to offer conditions of devotion, imploring heaven to help their spouses have the kind of heart that can love others more than their own family. Couples have the responsibility to support and encourage one another not to give up, as well as to receive guidance from each other. (030-181, 1970/03/22)
 
8 Our Unificationist families must avoid becoming stuck in our current position. We must develop and give birth to descendants who can embrace and ensure the fortune of the nation and world. We marry in order to find among our children exceptional people who can help form a new people and a new nation. People in the world marry for their own sake, but in the Unification Church we marry for the sake of the nation and the world. Our families are called by God to save many families in the course of providential history. Our role is to restore all the world's people through paying indemnity, and to model the love that opens the way for spirit persons in the spirit world and our descendants in the future. We must have the mind-set that our position is to live as saviors to the world. (030-185, 1970/03/22)
 
9 Now the age of the settlement of the children's families has to come. First, the age of the settlement of the children's families is the age of the mother's responsibility. The mother has to take responsibility as the Messiah. Second, it is the age of the children's responsibility, the age when Cain and Abel have to unite. Cain and Abel as brothers have to unite completely. There have been many sacrifices in history resulting from the separation of Cain and Abel, but from now on children must not fight each other anymore. In any village to which we care to go, there are Cains and there are Abels. The person who sacrifices him or herself, and makes compromises for the sake of the whole village, becomes the Abel and the owner. Because we already know this, we cannot fight. The age of the children's responsibility is the age when Cain and Abel have to unite.

Third, the mother, Cain and Abel have to unite. The age of the mother's and children's responsibility has to settle in the family and, after uniting with each other, the mother and children have to restore the husband, the father. Restoration of the father will be impossible if the mother and children are not united. The mother is responsible to see that she and the children, both Cain and Abel, are absolutely united. This is still not the end, because finally, we will enter the age to unite with the True Parents' family. At that point we reach the age when the Blessing can expand to the entire world.
