🌹지혜(智慧ㆍ知慧, wisdom)로운 사람과 어리석은 사람(a wise man and a foolish man) 🌹

지혜(智慧ㆍ知慧, wisdom)로 운 사람은 행동으로 말을 증명(證明, proof)하고 어리석은 사람은
말로 행위(行爲, action)를 변명(辨明, excuse)한다.(The wise man proves his words by his actions, and the stupid man excuses his actions by his words.)

지혜(智慧ㆍ知慧, wise)로운 사람의 노년(老年, old age)은 황금기이지만 어리석은 사람의 노년은 겨울이다.(The old age of the wise is golden, but the old age of the foolish is winter.)

지혜로운 사람은 일단 실행(實行, practice)해 보고 결과를 기다리지만 어리석은 사람은 해보지도 않고 실패(失敗, failure)할 걱정부터 한다.(The wise man first tries it and waits for the result, but the stupid person worries about failing without even trying it.)

지혜로운 사람은 자신이 새벽을 깨우지 만 어리석은 사람은 새벽 이 오기만을 기다린다.(The wise man wakes up the dawn, but the foolish man waits for the dawn to come.)

지혜로운 사람은 만나는 모든 사 람에게 무엇인가 배우려 하지 만 어리석은 사람은 그에게서
이익을 취하려 한다.(The wise man tries to learn something from everyone he meets, but the foolish man tries to profit from him.)

지혜로운 사람은 자기의 결점(缺點, flaw)을 장점으로 승화(昇華, sublimate)시키려 노력을 하지만 어리석은 사람은 자신의 결점(缺點, fault)만 걱정한다.(The wise try to elevate their flaws to their advantages, but the stupid worry only about their flaws.)

지혜로운 사람은 자신이 어디를 가야 하는지 알지만 어리석은 사람은 자기가 어디에 있는지만 안다.(A wise man knows where he should go, but a foolish man only knows where he is.)

지혜로운 사람은 자기가 아는 것이 최대(最大, the biggest) 의 지혜라 여기지만 어리석은 사람은 남을 이기는 것을 최고(最高, top)로 여긴다.(The wise consider what they know to be the greatest wisdom, but the foolish consider it the best to beat others.)
