The Department of Energy (DOE) is already preparing warranted standards for the targeted escalation of ethanol blend to gasoline products at the level of 20% (E20) by volume from currently at 10%.
에너지부(DOE)는 휘발유 성분에 현재 10% 에탄올 혼합에서 20%(E20)로 확대하기 위한 표준을 준비 하고 있다.
 
To firm up the eventual Philippine National Standard (PNS) for gasoline with higher bioethanol content, it had already solicited inputs this month from the relevant stakeholders in the industry.
바이오 에탄올함량이 증가된 휘발유에 대한 필리핀 국가 표준(PNS) 확정을 위해 이번달에 업계 관련자들로부터 의견을 요청하고 있다.
 
The Biofuels Act, in particular, mandates that “all liquid fuels for motors and engines sold in the Philippines shall contain locally-sourced biofuel component conforming to the PNS.”
특히 준비되는 바이오연료법에는 필리핀에서 판매되는 모든 엔진용 액체연료는 PNS(표준 규정)을 준수하며 필리핀 현지에서 조달하는 바이오연료 성분이 포함되어야 한다고 규정되어 있다 
 

The intent of the Biofuels Law has been to provide value-added income opportunities for Filipino farmers, but based on industry assessments, the desired outcome has not been fully accomplished because the oil sector had instead depended more on importation.
바이오 연료법의 목적은 필리핀 농부들에게 부가가치 소득 기회를 제공하는 것(필리핀 내의 사탕수수를 에탄올로 전환)이었지만, 업계 평가에 따르면 석유 부문 수입에 더 늘어났기 때문에 원래의 목표를 달성하지 못했다.
 
The use of sugar cane as a feedstock for bioethanol production in the country has also been raising concerns on competition with the food sector; hence, that is a nexus that policymakers would also want to be addressed in the longer term biofuels utilization in the country. 
사탕수수를 바이오 에탄올 생산의 원료로 사용하는 것은 식량 부족 우려의 문제가 제기되고 있으므로 정책 입안자들은 장기적 바이오 연료 활용을 위해서는 이러한 식량 부족 문제를 해결해야한다.
