No moonlight in Gyeongju

Painter Son Dong-jin, active in Paris, France, collected them all and took them to Paris.

Painter Son Dong-jin, painting for eleven hours a day even at the age of seventy, collected them on his canvas and took them to Paris.

I should have collected even a handful or two.

No, no, hopefully I collected a whole bucket like tap water.

Should I ask Son Dong-jin to return them?

Will he return even a handful?

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter

경주에는 달빛이 없다

프랑스 파리에서 활동하고 있는

손동진 화백이 모두 퍼담아

파리로 가지고 갔다

일흔이 넘은 나이에도 하루

열한 시간씩 그림을 그린다는

손동진 화백이 화폭에다 퍼담아

파리로 가지고 갔다.

한두 됫박쯤이라도 담아두는 건데

아니아니 수돗물 받아놓듯

한 통 그득 담아놓는 건데

손동진 화백한테 돌려달라고 해볼까

손동진 화백은 한 움큼이라도 돌려줄까

봄 여름 가을 겨울

밤이 되어 달이 떠도

경주에는 달빛이 없다.
