My dear dear Seogu, when I was in Japan for your fan meet, I was reading a book called 'The heart beats Island', written by an Italian writer living in Japan. I just wanted to tell you about this story that happened to me, as it also happened thanks to you. In my seaside village in France, a day before I left for Tokyo via Paris, I was making ceramics in my studio. My friend suggested I should go to this tiny bookshop next door, as I needed a good book for my long journey to you. So I went, the man there looked at me, listened to me, and said, “choose among those four Books.” I chose 'The Heart beats Island', a fictional story, translated into French, about a man who goes back to the house of his deceased mother on Teshima Island. Thats only the beginning of that soulful book. So anyway, I went to Tokyo the next day and started reading. My trip in Japan was a very emotional journey as I had decided to go to your last fan meet before you enlist. I went to some temples and gardens and I was very sensitive to each experience. Your fan met was a huge inner revolution for me, as I said in another letter, you opened my soul to so many new feelings and journeys. My heart was wide opened. I cried so much. I then went after to Kyoto and experienced beautiful moments with people and places, a dream. When I went back to Paris, I stopped at a friend's house to sleep the night, before going back home. I started to talk about that book and my French friend says "Of Teshima Island! I went there, a French artist called Boltanski opened the Museum of the heat beats on that Island. For years, he recorded the heart beats of thousands of people, Japanese and from all over the world!" I was so moved to hear this. My fictional book was happening on a real Island and the heart beats recordings were real too. Then, I arrive back home in my seaside French village. The next day I go and see Koika, a young Japanese girl married to a French friend, who grows and sells organic vegetable. I tell her about that book and she suddenly says" Teshima Island? Oh thats where my parents live!" I thought it was so incredible, the thread between those people, starting in a tiny village in France, accompanying me in my journey to Japan, then weaving its way to the parisian flat of my friend and back to Koika, here in my village. What I must say is that book is about transmission, the thin line between past and present, life and death, loss and happiness, so many things I think about. And, for me that Museum is so extraordinary. The Artist recorded the heart beats of so many people, when you go there, you chose which heart you want to listen to, the heart of someone old or young from anywhere in the world and listen. Facing the Inner Soto sea. You can also record your own heart beats... to think this is recorded for eternity. So this is where I will go in 2027 before going back to hear your voice in your next fan meet. It also makes me think of all the heart beats of all the people who love you. When you are there at the army, close your eyes and listen. Everywhere in the world there are people whose heart loves you. Myself whatever I do in my life, There will always be a place inside my heart, where your beautiful heart sings, a love so pure. . Cathieh ( Rowoon France Support) 22/10/27 Four days to go.
